Wednesday Waffle

Post by Cerise »

Alliteration for the win!

Morning all. What does Wednesday hold? I’ve got some marketing training this morning. I think I’m supposed to have an idea about where I want the business to go in 2023.

Other than that, staying warm, house chores and admin. Woo hoo! :lg:

Morning! I hope it's not too slippery where you are. Elvis and I had to call off our morning run, and I did the school run in my walking shoes. There's people sliding all over the place.

Hello Turtles.

Not much to report here. Apparently my bawbag cupcakes were a winner yesterday :))

Working as per and it's cold and grey out. The end.

Morning! It's a grey dry day and the long range forecast is the same until early Feb.

Luna, did you take any pictures of the cupcakes? The description really made me chuckle

Nothing exciting planned for me apart from a trip out after work to get my brows done.

I have a scary hour's drive to a place in the middle of nowhere for an interview for a job I don't want (but it's good face to face practice as everything else so far has been via zoom/teams) then home again. Yay!

However I am slightly bucked up by my and J's inaugural pub quiz last night - we've been meaning to go forever - which we won! That man has an even bigger brain for trivia than I do :))

Morning. It seems a bit milder here, the cars look wet rather than frosty.

I have logged on for a Teams meeting with a Polish colleague but she has moved the meeting back by an hour so I didn't need to scramble so much. I can't complain at all - it's nothing compared to her morning, she has already driven from where she lives to Warsaw which takes about 4 hours and has been in the office there for an hour!

I am eating a really nice yoghurt pot for breakfast from a TGTG from the weird ecohippy bikeshop/cafe combo. It's granola, vegan coconut yoghurt and mango compote, and it is well lush.

Today I have more work trudgery, maybe popping out to meet a friend for a coffee over lunch, and then gym tonight as drumming has still not yet started back after Christmas as the leader has moved house and his life is chaos at the moment.

Oh, and bins tonight.

Nice one Del, what was your prize?

Morning folks, it’s grey and wet on top of strike day. I will have to corral S into doing homework during school hours when he’s off.

Hope the interview goes well for you Del and you get out of it what you need. If not the job.

It's my day off today and I've had a leisurely morning, once I got all the boys out of the door. Made myself banana pancakes with Greek yoghurt and warm blueberries. Aside from some laundry, I've done little else. Sometimes I just need some time alone in a quiet house to clear my head. It's utter bliss. Grey and freezing outside, which dampens any motivation to head out.

Morning. I'm working, leaning against the radiator. I've ordered a heated throw as the weather person on the radio said there will be a Beast from the East in Feb and I nearly cried

:duo: Alliteration.

Morning. I’ve done a workout while periodically glancing at emails and have popped a wash on. The workout was mostly with the aim of keeping me warm for a bit.

Well done & good luck, Del! I love a pub quiz. I got banned from one during lockdown.

Or milk was off first thing this morning. :vom: At least I looked less ungrateful tipping away the instant coffee my beloved made for me & brought upstairs.

Morning. It's grey, drizzly and cool. I have my bottom half wrapped in a blanket.

Good luck Del.

Your breakfast sounds lovely Dutchie, we had banana and date porridge.

I've been swimming and have done all my daily system generated work so am going to go through my list and crack on with catching up and also some planning.

I need to go and drop off a couple of parcels at lunch and pick up some milk, then RPM after work.
Do not walk behind me, for I may not lead. Do not walk ahead of me, for I may not follow. Do not walk beside me either, just fuck off and leave me alone.

We were an inter generational team, and had a separate WhatsApp call at the same time as the quiz on zoom. We kept winning and mutterings were heard that we were cheating. Which we weren’t, we just had a brilliant breadth of trivia knowledge. Fuck ‘em, I was only trying to help keep things going. :))

I am amusing my vet with the badges in the RSPB badge box. Yesterday I asked if he's like to see my starfish and revealed the pink starfish badge pinned to my shirt.
Today was the turn of the badger.
