I do think that US Thanksgiving might be the best holiday. It’s just all about the food & a day off. I’m glad you’ve had a nice day Five.
Squeak & Chunk had a nice afternoon together. I ended up going into work and printing a billion articles. I think I had a thesis epiphany this morning. But I’m worried it’s not as clever as I thought it was in the moment.

Yes but Thanksgiving really isn’t the same when you have to cook it after work. It’s the day(s) off with family/friends that make it special.

Yeah, it's the time off with nothing to have to do but cook together that makes it so nice. No presents, no high expectations, nothing to do with religion so no one is excluded. Most people (definitely not in retail) have a four day weekend and that's now turned into five days off for many. It can also be a shit show for the person (people) who are hosting or those who have to travel on the busiest travel days or those having to eat with MAGA supporters. Fortunately, we all live close by, don't socialize with MAGAs and my daughter and son in law seem happy to have this as their holiday to host the family.
Mr5 and I cook a turkey on Christmas Eve because he's used to having goose or turkey on Christmas and it's not the norm here to have turkey since we've all just had it at Thanksgiving.
It was so sweet of Squeak to treat her little brother
