Oh that's ridiculous. Weaponised incompetence.

I hate P making me toast as it's always just slightly warm bread.
If your back's against the wall, turn around and write on it.

My husband loves to put near raw onion on/in everything. It’s foul.

Mine’s a fan of raw pepper too. He nearly set the oven on fire the other day trying to grill sausages. I’ve ordered an air fryer so he can hopefully stop trying to destroy my house :twitch:

He’s signed off work at the moment and I’m partly annoyed and partly relieved that he’s not doing the dinner each evening.

M isn't a terrible cook. prefer my cooking, but his is passible (#generous), but he can't fry anything without burning it. He doesn't seem to realise that the hob has knobs that adjust the heat, and cooks everything on high. It drives me insane. He's been warned that when I get my shiny new kitchen I do not want it covered in a film of grease or smelling of burnt fat. There is probably a 20% chance that he'll take this on board

I have a real craving for onion now, which is entirely missing the point, I know. :)) The toastie sounded foul. But Mr LM does a disk of red onion when he makes burgers and they are SO GOOD! The difference is, he grills the onion so it's all sweet and delicious.

Mine is a great cook, but also the destroyer of things, and never, ever wipes down the kitchen counters.

Warm melted cheese on top of a hard, cold disc of onion. The man is dicing with danger.

Absolutely nothing! It was the dreadful execution that annoyed me. A whole disc of red onion with barely melted cheese on toast does not make for an appetizing dish.

Ok, I get it a bit more now, but I still would.

Raw onion in malt vinegar is one that you should all try. It is immense.

I'm not a fan of raw onion. Except red onion in a tuna baguette.

I can't bear raw onion either. I have to soak red onion in lime to make salsas etc and even then I'm not that keen. The boys in the family love it though.

Sweet white onion is really nice raw. It has a reliably mellow flavour compared to red onion.
