LA is very sad. I worked there for two years donkeys years ago and loved it. Helping people buy furniture and fabric was my favourite thing.

I never realised it was Welsh!

Started near Machynlleth, didn’t she? I remember reading the story a long while ago. It’s very sad for everyone losing their jobs, what a horrible and worrying time.

She started her business making tea towels. I had 2 bedrooms decorated with Laura Ashley wallpapers and fabric.
The business over expanded in the 90s which was the start of the slippery slope.

My dad used to have one of his albums on tape (probably recorded off the LP- home taping is killing music kids) and we used to listen to it in the car. My brother particularly loved the Coward of the County and I’ve just listened to it for the first time in about 30+ years and I’ve just realized what the story is in the lyrics. Poor Becky.

Aww, I love Kenny Rogers. For some reason, one of my old teams had a fondness for Lucille, and you could often hear someone humming bits of it

I'm so sad about Kenny Rogers. That duet with Dolly Parton is one of my favourites. Unfortunately, it also makes me laugh as I always think of Frank Skinner's spoof version. That was TV gold, with him duetting with Kenny, dressed as Dolly Parton. Kenny Rogers was such a good sport!

I adored Kenny Rogers, he was one that my grandad always used to play when we got in from school.

I'm very sad about this.

Eddie Large died from the virus.

I thought he had fallen on hard times and died years ago, if I'm honest.

He was in hospital for something else, and contracted it here. Same as Dawn Butler's uncle.
