IWLTS Oh my God, stop fucking talking!

Team lead on conference call waffling about and talking in run on sentences and if he asked directed questions the call wouldn't be at 47 minutes and still running, it would have taken 10 mins.

Oh yes, I don't like it. It elicits much sarcasm from me - "Oh I thought I wouldn't bother paying the childminder..' and so on and so forth.

I really wanted to shout at everyone to just shut UP at the office today. Since lockdown my tolerance for office background noise is low.

IWLTS: You do realise I'm going to get no sleep tonight :(

Bambs has taken herself off to a club night. No-one she knows wanted to go, so she's gone on her own. My heart is in my throat - that she'll be on her own all night and it will crush her confidence, that something will go wrong. I've told her to make sure she doesn't walk back alone, but that won't stop her. She needs to find her tribe, but couldn't she do that in daylight, at the library??

I hope she has a great night and you eventually worry yourself to sleep.

But seriously I'm not sleeping. J is supposed to be on call as if she rings here, she'll wake mum. And of course his bloody phone is going straight to voicemail and messages say he's offline. My stress levels are threw the roof.

Oh Beena, so hard. Think what you were doing when you were her age - late teens, early twenties - she might indeed find some friends there for life - ir at least for this part of her life. Fingers crossed all goes well. Do know very hard not to worry but do try a little to stress a bit less. And if she wakes mum - knowing she is safe is ok for that?

She has no filter and tells me everything. I wish she wouldn't.

J's phone has died, so I've had to message her to ring out landline in emergencies (she rings if she's walking home alone because if she's going to get attacked, why not share the trauma).

Mum isn't settling and keeps making a dash for the door. She can get quite aggressive. So that's fun. Even if I wanted to sleep, it might not be happening.

Annabella, I know exactly what I was doing at her age and that's why I'm worried.

To be honest, I trust her, but it's the walking home - it's not particularly safe, 30 minutes, two subways and a lot of dodgy characters.

You need to take care of yourself because you don’t want to crash out.

I know. We're getting respite care for mum. It'll take a few days to sort out, but I need to go home. I refused to be guilt tripped by my sister into staying for weeks. She was dropping heavy hints yesterday so I just told her straight that they were being very selfish in not making sure mum had the care she needs.

She's just screamed in my face. Mum, not sister.
