Oh lord Chicky, I feel your pain, my mum is a bit like that but with phone calls, rather than texts. Like your mum, she misses having my stepdad to talk at/to, but it is quite hard going.

Maybe we should set them up as pen pals :))

IWLTS a reminder at 2am that a monthly bus ticket expires that day is less helpful than it could be.

IWLTS: you were expecting me to be bitchy about that, weren't you?

My cousins daughter got married, and she wore a black wedding dress. She's always been a bit goth/emo and her whole wedding had that kind of theme. My mum was dying to show me the pics (on FB so I hadn't seen them) and I think she was disappointed that I wasn't being more judgy  I'd have been more surprised if T had had a big white dress, it's not her style at all and I admire her for sticking to her own style.

Iwlts: yes, she snapped at you but you weren’t that helpful or nice to her either 😖. Let’s hope no one bears a grudge now.

It was my friend who runs the stained glass class. One of the students couldn’t find her work and there was a huge kerfuffle over finding it and some snappy exchanges. I could see both sides but felt for the student because my friend has a short fuse. Urgh. And the student is now also one of my clients..

Ah. OK. So not ferocious cat/dog snapping. But it sounds uncomfortable for all involved.

‘She’ is apparently a friend of a friend (who I’m coincidentally seeing tomorrow) so I’m hoping it’s not a bloke trying it on. When I did this many years ago, I had my phone number in my Facebook page and would get called by men asking what services I provided..

And the massage therapist I see at work has had that! Such a shame it’s a typical experience.

I really just hope he's got poor communication skills Luna rather than wanting a 'happy finish' :vomit:

IWLTS, stop sending group emails via the bcc option. It means none of my rules work and I have to move them manually.
All of a sudden people have decided to do this and then in the first line of the email they add a "BCC - groupname@alpha.com" which defeats the object of BCC :ella:

Ugh. Kill them.

IWLTS I am not in charge of organising us all just because I am the only woman. A group at a work course I signed up looks a little like going this way, but I will give them the benefit of the doubt for now as they may just all be socially awkward academics. IWALTS, to myself, don't jump in and organise it all.

Hah, sounds familiar Smunder - working in an (almost) all male environment, I get that a lot. Living in an all male household, I am used to being the organiser so I have to restrain myself from doing the same at work. Even if they are making a complete mess of it.

IWLTS yes, we know your other son and his family are your favourites but could you try not to make it so bloody obvious to your firstborn son and 3 grandchildren? It's hurtful and thoughtless.
