Re: FML
Well, my day is going most excellently. My sister's mobile phone doesn't ring, apparently. So, it's impossible to get through to her. I arrived in London to have lunch with my cousin, only to be told that S is going home today. Which is great, of course. But I booked a hotel near the hospital and she lives the other side of town.

Re: FML
I had one packet of Monster Munch in the kitchen leftover from my Christmas stash and I ate it earlier. Except the bag had a hole in it so all the flavor had gone. FML

Re: FML
I am partial to a bottle or two of fruit cider. Last week I picked up a couple in Aldi, which were nice Old Mout dupes.
Buying seeds in Lidl earlier, I saw similar and picked up 3 different flavours. They are FUCKING RANK. Like pour down the sink rather than force down bad. So now I have none.
Another reason why I’d rather we had an Aldi than a Lidl nearby.

Oh, that's interesting Wendy. I like the Aldi fruit cider and was going to try the Lidl ones as we have a new store near us. So now I wont.

MrTex spent ages trying to get Arsenal tickets for A’s birthday yesterday and couldn’t get through. He’s just tried to phone someone else and discovered that it was just his phone needing restarting as it wouldn’t connect. Obviously there are now no tickets left.

Re: FML
I hope you found some Tex.
On top of all the builder hassle plus the boiler, mower, roof tiles and blocked drain we’ve had to fix recently the solar panels have now broken. Just had a guy out to look at them and he said 9 times out of 10 it’s the inverter that breaks, it’s about £1000 to fit a new one which would pay for itself in a few years. The problems come when it’s not the inverter and it’s the panels themselves as you need scaffolding and it’s a massive expensive pain. Guess what is wrong with ours…

Oh no, Chicky, how gutting.
In a similar vein
21st March we had water coming into our bedroom sent a roofer up, he's determined it's the joist supporting our bay window is damaged beyond repair and we've also had wet rot coming into the study (thankfully not on the wall we built the library on)which is related to the window saga, it's costing nigh on 10k to put right. The roofer has been beset with issues, covid, and illness. The roof is water-tight but no slates have been installed.
I need to get someone in to replace the damaged internal wall.
Oh and the insurance company has told us they're not paying out. Honestly, I could weep.
