Oh god
There is literally nothing enticing about that photo at all.

This made me laugh. On a thread about an old theatre in Preston.
Dorothy: I sat in this theatre for 8 hours in 1957 watching Elvis. I am 80 now and would do it again alas he's dead x

If your back's against the wall, turn around and write on it.

Re: Facebook Muppets
It's good to have a role model, Beatrix .
When I couldn't sleep this morning I read a review of a book called The Plague or something on the Guardian app (I can't easily link from my phone). It was written in the 17th century, and the review did make me laugh - or maybe it was low level hysteria. The review author was on about ye olde panic buying and so on, and apparently the book author had actually bought in as much beer as he could get his hands on, as he was 'one of the less prepared'. Plus ca change, and all that.

I've been in that pub that Wendy posted about, and it is absolutely dreadful.

The rug is still making me hysterical. It’s so bad.

Re: Facebook Muppets
I'm not quite ready to call 'time' on this friendship, but this is from my Brexit-voting friend, now on holiday with her husband in Cuba. She is so tone-deaf in terms of the stuff she posts on FB - see posting a photo of their brand new Irish passports, weeks after the original date the UK was meant to have left the EU! I kind of hope they are trapped there. I'm really out of fucks on this one.
Monday is lock down day in Cuba.We have been extremely lucky as we are on a private tour so it’s just the two of us and our guide. Most of the stuff we have been doing is outside ( walking, birdwatching diving etc) it’s fingers crossed we can get home as no foreigners allowed to enter as of Monday - not sure what they are going to do about the Virgin staff for our plane as we are due to leave on Thursday ....
