What will you be stockpiling?

Post by Ella77 »

Here’s a cheery one for the UK folk. What are you planning to stock up on in anticipation of a short-to-medium-term utter fucking shitshow next year?

So far I’ve got:

- Paramol
- Feliway plug-ins
- Cat food

Not sure what else yet. You?

Straight Vaseline will do the trick, Ella.

Tuna will be good for me and for Rufus.

Someone I know from Twitter is already doing cat food, as her cat is on some kind of special diet. My mum's doing tins of tomatoes and salmon.

I'm concerned about fags. And maltesers.

Painkillers though. I'm definitely starting doing that.

Mine are too (same with the Feliway. They can’t really face the world without it, poor loves). I’m much more concerned about them than me. Although Vaseline :(.

No idea. Part of me thinks it’s incredibly stupid, and part of me (fairly reasonably?) believes that supply chains will be disrupted in the short term at least.

I don't have room to stockpile really. I will have to take my chances in the wild. :(

My Mum has space and a 50s rationing mindset. She's buying extra tins every Sainsbury shop. I was waiting til after Christmas (no real reason, it's just an arbitrary deadline). I think supply chains will be fucked in the short term if it's Hard or No Deal. Though I honestly think now the mostly likely outcome is some painful ever extended transition period.

I probably need to gather up some soya milk and pasta, and olive oil. I'll be ok then.

I'll add extra tins and some dry goods to my shopping each week (after Christmas) I think.

If everyone stockpiles, there will definitely be availability issues. :lg:
