She loves a bit of virtue signalling . We've just had posts about how she and her brother raised money for Aberfan when she must have been about 3.

It's partly that, and partly hysteria about the virus. She's the one who posts the death figures every day, and carries a stick that measures 2 metres when at the end of her arm.

There's no real story to mine, just someone who runs some baby classes posting about telling her daughter about her grandfathers' roles in WW2. I thought the generation with parents in it was my parents' generation (60+) which she is definitely too young to be part of!

My sister's grandchildren call my mum Granny, although obviously she is their great-grandmother, so maybe it's just something like that? You're right though - my mum is 85, and was 5-10 in the war years, so an eight year old is most unlikely to have anyone alive who fought. It was my grandparent generation (born 1910-ish) on the whole.

Your daughter looks about eight. Surely she can't have grandfathers who were officers in the second world war?

Captain Tom Moore's granddaughter is only about 11 or 12, so definitely not impossible, if both the generations above her had children later in life.

Because, despite being told many, many times not to play with my work computer, he snuck into the study when I had nipped to the loo in the midst of a departmental conference call with 100+ colleagues on it, switched my camera on, and proceeded to do a silly dance and mug shamelessly to them all.

Anyway, the moral of the story is - lock your screen if you have people who can't be trusted in the house, and you have to step away!
