I’ve got a full jug of water, so I can fill the kettle as necessary! I can’t have a shower though, so I’ll have to go to N’s if this continues until tomorrow. The company just phoned telling me to buy some bottled water and they’ll reimburse me; they said they need Openreach to do something with the telegraph pole but it’s all high priority. :ella:

I hope your job search yields results soon, Jupes (and S too, Emma).

Good news at the appt., his chest is clear & he was an idiot getting his bloods done in time but they’ll get in touch if there are any concerns. So the next one is in 12 months and then 12 months after that & done. Phew. I’ve let my shoulders drop now.

Great news, pip.

I'm catching up with Portrait Artist and will get some lunch soon, but I don't think the soup I've got on will be ready.

Afternoon all.

That’s great news about C, Pip. What a relief.

A2 is poorly and not allowed at nursery today (he threw up at lunch time), but luckily they got hold of A first so he’s gone to pick him up as I have a load of steering groups this afternoon.

I rather stupidly did a laptop update at 12, and 45 minutes later it’s still at 5%. I have a board meeting at 1 :bite:.

That’s great news, Pip. It must be such a weight off your minds.

A very nice man just brought me 10 litres of water. They say the water will definitely be back on by the morning but they might be digging all night :fish:

Am relieved for you Pip.

I’m on my way home after doing a drop ;) Got valentines treats for the fam (for me too - Diptyque gave me a bunch of flowers - really pretty roses and anemones and loads of samples).

I'm glad you have some bottled water, rosy.

I have a spreadsheet too, Shoe and it's depressing. In saying that I've just found out I'm at the final stage for a job I would really like so that's something.

Good luck to S, Emma. I hope he hears something soon.

Fantastic news, Pip. You must both be so relieved.

That's great news, Pip!

And tentative good news for you too, Jupes. Fingers crossed!

What are you going to do with all your courtesy water, rosy?

Great news, Pip! And good luck, Jupes.

I am at the hospice grabbing some lunch before my counselling session. After that, I will WFH for an hour or two, and then go to spin. I have tomorrow off so I am glad about that although I think I have to cover one meeting in the morning. It's only for an hour, and quite close to home so not too bad.

Great news Pip and good luck, Jupiter!

D has two interviews today, one was this morning at an external company and one this afternoon in his current company but different department. I'm hoping he gets one of them, as he's hated his job since the day he started.

Schools / preschools off here, so I took J to soft play. It wasn't too busy, and he managed to find some other children to play with.

Best of luck to D. Which role would he prefer?

This is bound to be a dumb question, but do you need to have an Amazon Kindle to access Amazon services, such as their kids thing?

Or will any old Android tablet do the job?

You can get the Kindle app on any other device. I don’t know what the “kids thing” is though

Probably the external one I think, because the internal one will have a lot of on call duties, which he's not keen on.
