I agree about parsley, but use bay leaves all the time! They add something, I'm sure.

So true! I find the flavour very olde Englishe and upsetting.

I like pretty much everything on this thread with the exception of cheesecake and coffee.

I am 100% basic though and trough through entire bars of dark chocolate. None of this one square nonsense.

I love chips so much. Especially by the sea.

I want to be dismissive of chips but I can't. They're excellent.

There are a lot of bad chips out there though. Good ones are amazing.

I like chips with things but not so much on their own.

I always say I'm not that keen on chips but that's not true really. I just only like good chips. I don't like the sort you get in pubs, big, thick and dry.

Dry chips are very disappointing  proper ones are fantastic though

I love:
Bay leaves
Dark chocolate (NOT Bourneville which is disgusting)
Chips

I wouldn’t miss potatoes any other way including crisps, and I’m not a fan of cheesecake or any big gloopy puddings.

You’ve reminded me, Squiz. I don’t like chocolate flavoured things that aren’t chocolate*. A chocolate mousse cake is my idea of hell.

*except for a plain loaf cake

Ugh yes! I feel the same about chocolate ice cream.

This thread reminded me of my birthday chocolate stash so I’ve just had a mini bar of G&B dark, and an almond. Their dark milk chocolate and the dark choc with sour cherries were my favourites but they don’t exist any more :verm:. Probably because people didn’t buy it enough because SOME PEOPLE are wrong about dark chocolate :verm:.

Chocolate ice cream is horrible. It's taken us ages to convince W that, although he really like chocolate, vanilla is actually a more similar taste than choc ice cream.

Flat leaf parsley is OK, but curly is nothingness. Having said that, when I was at my mum’s last month she made gammon steak with parsley sauce for dinner, and that was just lovely.

I concur on pizza and chips. I like both well enough, and both can be really good sometimes, but I can't get excited about either. They are pleasant and functional, not a massive treat.

I think olive shares my pizza views - I'd much rather just have a Margherita than anything else. I don't mind the occasional olive or mushrooms (but only if they've been cooked first).

I don't like chips that much either, but I do like fries. So the type from McDonald's, I absolutely love.
