I love Stephen Mangan. He's so lovely on Portrait Artist of the Year.

I just found out today that there’s a whole series of this I haven’t seen yet! :weewee: I watched it on Netflix and didn’t realise there was a 6th series on 4od.

I have a neighbour who reminds me of Martin. :shake: He’ll come out of his house shirtless in the middle of winter, to do something odd like throw leftovers from a pizza box out for the birds.

I love Jim so much. And he's the neighbour from Spaced!

Talking about Heartbreak High has made me think of The Secret Life of Us, which I used to adore - they had an actress in common. It’s where I initially knew Joel Edgerton from before he went to Hollywood. I might see if it’s available anywhere on streaming, just so I can appreciate him as a 20-something again.

Yay, it’s on Prime! Cool!

I’m enjoying Schitts Creek, it’s my new go to filler show. I like Brooklyn 99 too.

Couple of other things:

- BBC iPlayer should have Bros: When The Screaming Stops on it. I was not a Bros fab back in the day but I’ve seen this documentary several times because it’s simply brilliant. Apparently it wasn’t acted or scripted and they weren’t told what to do.

- then you also have to check out The Kemps- All True which follows Gary and Martin from Spandau Ballet. Very similar to the Bros doc except it is a spoof. It is hysterical and G & M are very happy to send themselves up. The guy who made it together with them - Rhys Thomas, who plays the narrator and interviewer in it- has been doing this kind of thing for years, pre the Bros documentary.

- If you like The Kemps, the idea for it came out of something else that Rhys did together with Simon Day from The Fast Show, a bunch of series that focus on the life of a spoof music activist called Brian Pern. It essentially rips off the life of Peter Gabriel and other musicians from the 70s and 80s. Knowledge of the music and people from that area will help but I think any music fan will enjoy it. I still properly laugh out loud every single time I watch it and it is the only DVD that lives on my player so I have constant access to it whenever I feel like watching it.

The last series of Friday Night Dinner got pretty ridiculous, I think. Jim became just a complete idiot and wasn’t at all funny. I watched the whole think again recently and in series 1 he spoke completely differently and wasn’t such a knob. Still love it though!

Taskmaster is *brilliant*, Dics. (I also fancy Greg Davies)

House of Games is great too.

Being Erica is quite old now and it isn't funny but it's quite soothing. I think Goat and I might be the only people who watched it but it was great.

Oh!!! I loved that.

Discussed elsewhere, but Virgin River and Bridgerton have been an absolute salve for the past few weeks. We are also (re) watching Seinfeld - the whole lot is on All Four.

Virgin River is lovely. I’ve been saving the second series for my at home “holidays” next week and looking forward to it.

Me too. :disco: I don't want to spoiler it, but the ending of S2 made me laugh (at the writing) and cry (because I am caught up in it despite myself) at the same time, which is my favourite emotion.

I've started Virgin River and it's good but a bit sadder than I was expecting!

It is quite sad in places but please focus on Jack and his manly jumpers to refocus your mind. Or, invent a drinking game, I feel like it has very good drinking game potential.
