I’ve also just discovered an actual real life Dawson in J’s year. She’s the child of someone I met out for drinks who I thought was called Nicola. Cos that’s how it’s written. But she’s called Ni-Cola (like the drink).

That’s the Polish (and possibly other bits of Eastern Europe) pronunciation though, not completely novel.
