Yeah I use face oils at night year round and in the winter I sometimes add a drop in with my moisturiser.

They don't do much for me because my skin is dehydrated, and obviously they contain no water. They're ok as an occlusive layer, but I find they just come off on my pillow case. This one smells lovely, though.

Today I got another candle - Sweet Jasmine, much to N's delight as he is always sniffing that reed diffuser when we go to Rituals (which is every single time we go to town as he loves the place).

Face oils are a lovely treat.

The candle sounds lovely, Dutchie.

I got a candle in the Liberty calendar too! It’s a lovely tomato scent.

I got the same one, Edith. Isn’t it lovely? I think it must be tomato and blackcurrant or something (like in Baies). It’s absolutely gorgeous.

It’s the small version of this one.

I'm definitely buying myself the Liberty one next year for my 50th birthday present to myself. That candle sounds lovely!

That is a good idea, Diccers. I'm 50 in March so bit early for advent calendars but if I remember, I'll stick some money away for it.

I've re-named an empty bank account "50th Fund". At the moment I'm only sending spare change so my current accounts always remain a neat £xxx.00 but once Christmas is out of the way I'll sort some regular proper funds into it. I'm going to cancel my gin box so that money can go in, council tax for Jan and Feb etc. It's making me re-think casual purchases as I'd rather make my fund big enough for a good holiday and the Liberty calendar than pick up some scrunchies I don't need.

If you can sign up to the Liberty beauty drop at £20 a month you’ll have the cost of the calendar almost saved by the time it’s on sale, plus you’ll get a quarterly box of samples.

I meant at what point in one’s skincare routine

I can see I’m going to get a lot of lovely stuff that I’ve no idea how to use :))

The candle is lovely.

At night as the last step over something hydrating, I think?

I would do the oil and then the moisturiser.

I always oil last at night as apparently nothing else penetrates the skin once you put oil on.

I read this once, took it t as gospel and didn’t fact check so I could be wrong.

I didn’t get a calendar this year so I’m enjoying the updates here.

I would use a face oil at night instead of a moisturiser.

Today I got a lovely rose micellar water.

Yes, nothing will get through the oil so there’s no point putting anything on top of it.

That sounds nice, Lola.

I am so tempted by the Liberty drop.

Yesterday’s Sephora offering was a Decleor foaming cleanser. Today was OMOROVICZA, Deep Cleansing Mask 15ml.

Three cleansers in five days, lucky me. ;)
