Gosh, it really is Luna. Like the Rosie stuff for M+S. Which is quite good though but I won't be ordering from Next.

I've been using a couple of Garden of Wonder things which is very good. Similar prices to the Ordinary but better packaging and they also have azaleic acid and niacimide. Which means I do t have to buy from that car crash of a business.

I spotted the GoW stuff and was going to ask. The azelaic acid looks worth a try. Let us know!

It has a smoother texture but seems to work just as well. I ordered them both a few weeks ago.

I was also going to ask if anyone has tried GoW. I’m contemplating ordering their Niacinamide.

That does help. I’m regretting my purchase of The Ordinary azelaic acud as I’ve got the worst congestion and bumpy skin on my forehead since I started sing it which I think is down to the silicones in it. I never had a reaction like that with niacinamide but am off The Ordinary due to the mentalness so will try the GoW. I like the sound of some of their other stuff too.

I've ordered the azelaic acid from VH, thanks for that Cos. It has made a massive difference to my skin but obviously Deceim aren't going to last much longer plus I couldn't seem to find a good affordable alternative. Plus, the silicone in the Ordinary one is not my preference - I don't react to it but it means you can't really use any other products effectively if you want it straight on your skin.

Ooh. Is silicon ever listed under another name? I can't use the Nip Fab Glycolic Serum in the mornings as make-up won't sit properly on top of it.

Dimethicone, maybe? It's actually ok for me with make up on the top, although I think some people find it pills. But nothing will absorb through it. so I want it straight on my skin for maximum impact but then any other serum or moisturiser I use on top isn't going to reach my skin.

Most things that end in -cone are silicon in some form or another.

Thanks! Hmm, I can't see anything like that. Maybe it's just weird.

How does the make up not sit? Does it roll up into little balls? I wonder if it is the polymer?

Yes, it sort of rolls into clumps and looks awful and patchy. :flirty: I just use it before bed now (the serum, not make-up).

That does sound like the impact of some form of plastic. :glam:

It will be the ammonium Acryloyldimethyltaurate, I should think.

Ah yes. It is a "film-forming agent" which does not sound like something I want on my face.

I really want that travel Hourglass bronzer to come back in stock; I can't afford the full price one, but I think my current one (Laura Mercier) is too dark.

Ugh, so I got a sample of the Elemis pro-collagen cleansing balm in a Latest in Beauty box, and it was a lovely texture, a really nice, soft balm, but it STANK of lavender (really strongly), and also it gave me spots (must have been the shea butter). I tried a few times but it had to go. I’m so glad I didn’t buy a full-sized one!

Also in that box I got a sample of the Paula’s Choice BHA acid toner (because the January Labs one I like is STILL out of stock), and it’s so weird. It leaves a sticky residue on the skin, and I have to rinse it off :ttth:. Has anybody else had that issue?
