Lipstick Queen stuff is very addictive. And lovely.
I bought some Charlotte Tilbury Hollywood Flawless Filter stuff. It’s quite nice over SPF on no makeup days as it just even out my skin a bit, without being heavy.

I showed my mum Frog Prince the other day and she was very impressed. I might get her that mini set if they're still doing it.

Re: Magic Beans
I bought some Kiko Smart Drops (Charge) the other day. I really like them but I am not sure if it's just because I have started using it in the week of the month when my skin is actually behaving. It smells lovely regardless. :))

Do Urban Decay do glittery eyeliners? I would like one of those.
I popped into Aldi today and saw the cleanser that everyone is talking about so I got some of that.

Re: Magic Beans
I am gutted to announce that the Dr Sebagh Serum Repair that I got for next to nothing and actually costs three new born babies and a gold tooth is wonderful.
I noticed this morning that the lines across my forehead that I have had SINCE I WAS TWELVE (a lifetime of scathing eyebrow raises) are (ostensibly) gone. And then I looked at the dribble left in my bottle, the price tag, and Mr G's redundancy letter, and killed myself. It's just hyaluronic acid though right? So I can just get a cheaper one of those. Like Niod. Or The Ordinary. Oh wait.
I did like Hydraluron but not this much (of course I didn't, it's affordable). Though I have a bit left of that so can use it for a bit while I decide what to do, and just keep touching my lovely skin before it goes to crap again.

Re: Magic Beans
I’m sorry for your troubles, Goat. I hope there is a cheaper version that is as good.
I read that Aldi are doing Diptyque knock off candles which are meant to be good. I don’t think there’s one anywhere near me though.

Yes, they are emma, and they’re really good. I have a Baies for comparison so can state this comfortably. Shall I try and get you one?

Goat, D is in a similar situation with an eye cream sample he has just finished; it's the first time he's really noticed a product doing what he wants and he can't bring himself to buy it. I might treat him when he's not looking - and he's finished the other eye samples in case something cheaper hits the spot (they never do).

What was it absley?
I also had a bottle of something expensive and I really noticed a difference. But £130 is just too much.

Re: Magic Beans
I'm wondering if using it once a day instead of twice would be just as effective. Then it effectively costs half as much.

Re: Magic Beans
That's what I do with Good Genes MG, use it once every 2nd day after a period of twice every day and it seems to have a similar effect.

Re: Magic Beans
I think I'm going to try that now while I still have some left. At the moment I layer the Dr Sebagh and then the Ordinary azelaic acid morning and night, but I might try the azelaic in the morning and the Dr Sebagh at night (or the other way round) and see how that goes. The rosacea is under control now so I can probably hammer it slightly less.

Re: Magic Beans
I do it with my Sunday Riley products too.
Yes please, Pip, if you are passing! I will swap you one for the OK ticket :)) I have no preference for which one - any is good.

Goat, the Garden of Wonder azelaic acid sold by Victoria Health is good. It's a bit more expensive than The Ordinary but not much and I think I like the texture better as it is less siliconey. They are also doing a hyaluronic acid serum which is fine. I like it better than Hydraluron but obviously it might not be a match for your real magic beans.

Re: Magic Beans
Ooh, thank you. I still have a massive stash of The Ordinary but will likely need something else when that runs out.
And the hyaluronic will be good to try if it is good but cheaper.

I have too, but it's made such a difference to my skin I was still worrying about running out! So I am relieved there is a decent alternative now.

I would also say I tried a Avene redness moisturiser and it's amazing - you might want to try that. https://www.avene.co.uk/face/products-f ... or-chronic I put it on after moisturiser before makeup.

Re: Magic Beans
oh dear. Yes. That's very expensive. We had a SA try and upsell it to Mr Cos instead of the Kiehls Vit C serum which he loves. But given that it's a jump from £50 to £130 he literally sucked his teeth in in shock.
