I tried that Vit C serum, Cos. I really like it but don't know if it's any better than my one by the Ordinary.

Mr Cos loves it as well. Says it makes a difference from the first day. I'm going to steal some tonight

I'd want new eyes for £130.

I am adoring Complexion Rescue tinted moisturiser from Bare Minerals which is just lovely with medium coverage. And Maybelline Fit Me Poreless powder. I've had a lot of comments on my skin wearing it.

I’ve got the same Bare Minerals complexion rescue, Hannie, and I agree - it’s great. I think I prefer it to the Laura Mercier one I’ve been using for years.

I use this too for my bouts of rosacea. It works really well.

For the last year or two I’ve mostly had my face bare except for my sunscreen primer and some concealer under the eyes, but lately I’ve been thinking I need a little more than that, so I’ve been looking for a very lightweight compact foundation. I looked all over the place and couldn’t see anything light enough anywhere. (I’m broadly happy with my skin, but I want it to look a bit more polished). Anyway, I got the devil in me today and went to the Chanel counter, and ended up coming away with a Les Beiges Healthy Glow Gel Touch Foundation, which I hope is just what I need. It’s very light indeed, but full of hyaluronic acid etc. and nice and glowy so far. It comes in a lovely compact :shoe:.

I’ve just seen that they also do tinted lip balms in the same range. I need to step awaaay .

That sounds perfect Ella!

Since my skin cleared up I’ve been enjoying the No 7 Aqua cushion foundation but I can’t work out how to tell when it's finished.

Oh, my favourite ever tinted lip balm was a Chanel one years ago. I loved it so much.

As I mentioned on t'daily thread, I got my makeup done at Bobbi Brown today. I wanted a bit of a fresh look, and also I feel like my foundation has tended to go patchy recently so I thought I'd see what they suggest. The girl was really good, and I bought a few bits - concealer for under my eyes and a bronze eye crayon, I also wanted the blusher and lipstick they used but they didn't have them in stock :verm: The blusher was a really nice pinky-coral so I'm definitely going to get that from another counter. She gave me some samples too of the foundation she used, and a serum thing for dry patches.

I also got some Kiehl's Daily Concentrate when I was there, and had a good skoosh of Chance Eau Tendre at the Chanel counter so I might buy that next pay day. I bought the original one by mistake last year as J was with with me in DF, and shopping with him is like having a toddler with you :ella:

I might check out Bobbi Brown blusher. Laura Mercier appear to have stopped making their powder blushes altogether, bizarrely.

My magic beans for the moment: I've been using this Ameliorate body lotion (at the wrong time of year really cos you're supposed to use sunblock with it) and my ravaged body looks distinctly less middle-aged. I can't recommend it highly enough.
