If anyone uses Super Facailist stuff, Boots have a 3 for 2 (assuming you don’t boycott Boots!).

Slight side trip to Kiko. I think the lipstick is a Black Lace Rabbit dupe.

Does anyone have any recommendations for good vitamin C containing stuff? I have some from the Ordinary and whilst I like the way it makes my skin look the next day, I hate the texture, and it’s so sticky and gritty I can only wear it at night. I’m trialling the REN vitamin C moisturiser atm but i think it must have less vitamin C in because it doesn’t do as much (but is far nicer to use). So I think I’d like a serum, ideally one I can use in the daytime. Any pointers?

The Omorovicza one is very nice but very expensive. It’s like a light gel-cream hybrid. (They sell a travel-size one that is less eye-watering.)

I also like the Drunk Elephant one a lot, but I don’t have any hyperpigmentation issues or anything like that so I don’t know how either of these would deal with that.

The La Roche Posay one is getting a lot of coverage right now. Their stuff is usually great. I’ve had the BalanceMe one on my list to try for a while too.

I also struggled with the Ordinary Vit C grittiness, so I’ll have a look at those alternatives.

Mum got me this cleanser as part of my birthday gift. It feels lovely to use, but my skin has suddenly developed a super dry spot. I’m not sure if it’s the product or a combination of flying/changes in humidity/arrival of cold weather.

I've not got anything to compare it to (unless you count the old Body Shop vitamin c stuff from about 15 years ago - which I loved because it smelt of oranges. Not sure if it actually did anything) but I really really like the Garden of Wisdom vitamin C from Victoria Health. It's only about a tenner too.

I tried the GoW one and didn’t like it either unfortunately. I think the difference I’ve found between brands like GoW and TO and the more expensive ones is that whilst the “actives” may be the same, the rest of the formulation just isn’t as good in terms of texture and the way it sits on my skin.

Thank you all, I now have a long list :)) It does annoy me that most of the more expensive brands don’t tell you how much is in it %wise, though I appreciate that it isn’t always that simple.

I entirely agree fig about the rest of the formulation. And I like the Kiehl's serum with vit C in it the most. https://www.spacenk.com/uk/en_GB/skinca ... 21537.html

The Kiehls one sounds really good. I've also done some searching on the CH facebook group and there seem to be lots of recommedations for the Dermalogica one. They also seem to think the Drunk Elephant one oxidises faster than you can use it, though some people say theirs hasn't got darker before they've finished the bottle.

My husband also really likes it (I noticed it going down very fast!). I haven't tried the Dermalogica one but I do love their stuff generally

The Kiehls one is very siliconey, if that’s an issue for you.

My DE one hasn't got darker.

I know that some are in containers that let the air in too much but this one doesn't (as far as I can tell) - what would make that oxidise more than others? Is it to do with the formulation? Genuine question, I don't understand and my brief research indicated that it was ok because of the container.

Me too. It lasts absolutely ages too. I decided that it wasn't that that was upsetting my skin so added that back in and stopped using Glow Tonic.
