Re: Magic Beans
I did wonder the same, but there are lots of people saying it, with photos. They are saying it sits in a warehouse for ages before being shipped out and isn’t lasting as long as the expiry date etc suggests it should. The hypothesis seems to be that they over estimated demand and made a huge quantity which is now not very new. Presumably the pump pushes it up from the bottom so it shouldn’t really be getting oxidised? But some people’s seems to have ended up a very dark colour.

Ah, just found this. DE are saying it’s an old formulation and they’ve now improved it.

Is that vitamin C and retinol together? How is it?
I cracked and have just ordered a Chantecaille Aqua Blush - the one on the right- for a million pounds. They look so pretty, I couldn't resist!

That looks lush, Ella. I really like the look of the new shiseido ones. Apparently the texture is amazing.

I bought a mini Eyeko mascara yesterday and a mini Tidal. I had an Ndulge voucher burning a hole. They also let me claim my birthday gift late. :))

I’m pretty interested in both of these. Let me know how you go with the retinol one please :)Pippedydeadeye wrote: ↑Tue Jun 04, 2019 4:38 pmSorry, it’s two separate ones! I like the Vit C so far but I have a patch of dry skin under my right eye so I holding off on stronger acids.

Re: Magic Beans
I am currently enjoying a sample sachet of Sunday Riley CEO (it was only big enough for 2 applications though, so not really enough to tell much, but it sits nicely under makeup), and the Bobbi Brown extra eye repair cream. I’ve also got a sample of the Verso niacinamide hydrating serum which I think was in the space NK box a couple of months ago. It’s nice but I can’t convince myself it’s £70 nice which is apparently how much the full size costs. It’s a really generous sample though so should last me ages.

Re: Magic Beans
My mum sent me a load of Dior samples including a little tube of this. I really liked it. But it’s $157 for a small bottle and I really can’t justify the cost.

Re: Magic Beans
I am intrigued by those blushers! I will go and investigate...
I picked up some Retirides from a pharmacy when we were on holiday in Tenerife in Easter. I got a tube of the 0.025% and 0.05% for £15 each, and started with the weaker one when we got back - so, about 2 months ago. I use it every other day after cleansing my skin at bedtime, layered over a nourishing night cream (the M&S Protect one). Honestly, the difference in my skin has been A-MAY-zing. Best £15 I have ever spent (I already was religious about using broad-spectrum facial sunscreen every day, and certainly am continuing to be so). Stay tuned for future trips to Spain just to pick up more of it :))
Also, I went to have a makeup refresh before starting my new job, and bought some stuff from Trish McEvoy, a brand I previously hadn't used. I also really like that, and their Beauty Booster Eye Serum in particular. I have never before had an eye product which I have actually thought was making a difference, but this one I do.
