That's great, Liv. I really need to start using the retinol products I bought more methodically.

I don't suppose you have a picture of the stuff you got, Liv? My parents are off to Spain soon. :))

Re: Magic Beans
Yes, do you need to get it from a pharmacist? We are going to Spain in August :))

Re: Magic Beans
You can buy it online, lots of people in a FB group of doctors I’m in order from a site called Dermatica or Retirides brand from the Farmacia en Andorra website. Never used either myself but they seem to rate them and from a quick google so do Mumsnet :))

Re: Magic Beans
This is what the tubes I bought look like. I had written down the name and showed it to the pharmacist. It took me a few until I found one that stocked it, but this was in Costa Adeje in Tenerife, so they were tourist-centric pharmacies, without very comprehensive stock. I didn't see the 0.1% one while I was there, but as I figured I'd start mild and work my way up I wouldn't be looking to move onto that until after I've finished with the 0.05 - I'll look for the strongest one on my next trip! :))

Pixi has a third off in M&S so I bought one of these cream eyeshadow sticks for a bargainous £8. I got a bronze shade and it's lovely and you need it in your life.

We had a mooch round the Harvey Nichols' beauty hall yesterday when in Edinburgh. I bought an eyeliner and lipgloss from Marc Jacobs, both of which are lovely products but the SA was useless. She was doing someone else's makeup and paid little attention to us, other than to moan at me for using the lipgloss tester :ella: Given that between us, we spent about £100, she could have made a bit more effort.

I can’t bear a rude SA. How on earth do they decide who’s important enough to be nice to? I was in Jo Malone the other day buying a candle, and I was so polite but she treated me like I’d called her a fucking cunt. Fawned over the men.

She was rubbish, wasn't she. I am looking forward to trying my new eyeliners though.

I know right? A sales assistant in Bloomingdales was serving* my mum with barely concealed contempt and my dad hit the roof and said they wouldn’t be buying anything from her and stormed out.
* my mum was looking for a lipstick and instead of helping and advising she was openly rolling her eyes and sighing.

It’s hard to know what to do to get on an SA’s good side, isn’t it?
Please tell us more about the lipgloss & stuff.

This is the lipgloss, it's part of a Pride themed range and it's not as bright once it's on https://www.marcjacobsbeauty.com/enamor ... lor=MJ1321
Eyeliner - mine is dark navy although I could have bought quite a few! https://www.marcjacobsbeauty.com/fineli ... lor=MJ2010

Oh I looked at the Marc Jacobs lip gloss today, they look beautiful.
I spent some more money in Fenty Beauty today, a lovely stick blush plus more eyeshadow and a really nice orangey lipstick.

Re: Magic Beans
We were looking at the Fenty stuff, Cos, it looks great.
I got the same eyeliner as Sal but in steel(etto) which is a pale blue grey sort of colour. And a gel liner in a dark grey blue which I can't remember the name of.

I think all the Fenty stuff I have is excellent quality, it's not too outrageous in price and I like the ethos.

Re: Magic Beans
I'm tempted by their foundation, the colour range is amazing. I don't need any at the moment though, I could be persuaded to make another trip through when I do though.
