Oh, don't worry Bean, I should have guessed the colour would be too cool on me and equally I could have smelt the sample in the shop. It's annoying when it's the kind of product that can't be passed on.

I love scented products - I hope I never develop a sensitivity to perfume.

In other Kiko mishaps, I bought a Kiko eyeshadow crayon thing. I'm annoyed at myself, as I was rushing, and instead of the one I wanted (a sparkly bronze) I have a flesh-coloured one. :woteva:

Today I bought the new Nuxe Aquabella moisturiser and their rose micellar oil. I had a good long chat with the area rep about how disgusted we are about the Emma Hardie price hike, and how mental B. tru.axe is now. There was a GWP if you bought 2 products, and a further candle ispf you spent £40, and pretty biscuits and treatments etc. Anyway, I qualified for the gift then got given a bag of samples, and the woman slipped me the candle as well. :hbeat: It smells like spa!

That is so lovely! Which shop was it? I love nuxe and want to try the oil! I was gutted when I stopped being able to get hold of the rose petal water in the states so bought a HUGE bottle to celebrate when I got home :))

Oh, I chose to addthe beauty discount on my Sparks card! The rose cleansing oil isn’t on the website though. I’m meeting a friend in town this evening so might try to seek out an M&S en route.

I bought The Ordinary Fluid Primer and it brought me out in spots which I knew it would, those types of primers always do. Stupid.

Have you tried the Hourglass one, TB? I used it for the first time the other day and it felt amazing! I have a spare travel sized one if you’d to try it?

Is it the silicone that irritates, do you think?

I do quite like the Glossier priming moisturiser. It’s nothing special, but does give a good base for makeup.

The other day, I totally forgot to moisturise, and just slapped foundation on my skin with nothing else, and you know what? It wasn’t that bad! So I think Magic Beans is the perfect title for this thread. ;) Obviously I’m not going to make a habit of it.

I'd love to Emma, how kind. Shall I send my address?

I don't know as there is silicone in other things I use, but something in those very smoothing primers sets me off. I'm always struggling to get a smooth base though as any foundation I wear that has any level of coverage higher than a BB cream makes my skin look flaky.

Pip, I remember many years ago when I was really skint, using a Vitamin E body cream from Superdrug as both cleanser and moisturiser for a couple of months and my skin never looked better.

I use the hourglass primer and it's amazing. Most primers break me out and it totally doesn't. I think you'll like it Bean.

I've ordered the Rimmel Exaggerate Waterproof Eye Definer as recommended by my work colleague. I'm hoping it will stay on my face. Even UD 24/7 just disappears.

My colleague is great. She knows so much. She is like having you lot posting in here but in my actual office!
She's sorted out that I am a neutral based on veinage as well (when I just couldn't tell if my veins were blue or green. They are a mixture apparently)

Have you tried using an eye primer thing to get stuff to stay on? I find they're really effective. Mine is the Too Faced one.
