Scent of the Day

Post by Pippedydeadeye »

I toyed with “Scent Packing” but decided it’s far too cheesy.

But I have been packing up perfumes today, I’ve sorted & boxed up far too many fragrances.

If I’d sprayed all the ones I wanted to, I would be stinking. :)) But I’ve been restrained & I’m wearing Jo Loves Pink Vetiver.

That's an impressive collection.

I'm wearing Eternity today.

I'm still experimenting with the No Malone Zara ones. The London one is quite strongly rose and is a bit pungent for me.

No Malone! Love it.

The boxes keep making me forget to put it on now. They may have been a mistake.

That's almost as many as I've got! Mine are (mostly) in one of the larger ones of these:

https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00 ... =UTF8&th=1

but I also have one of those clear acrylic tiered stands that a number of others live on.

Today I am wearing New York Dolls, which is apparently a Milton Lloyd dupe of Boss Femme. Yesterday I was wearing their version of Escape by CK.

Yesterday I deployed my emergency Jo Malone Lime Basil & Mandarin. I think I’ll pop a mini atomiser of something else in my handbag.

I’ve put Obsession on now. Cosy & comforting.

I can't get enough of Obsession, guess I'm making up for not having worn it since last century.

I’ve bought one of the fragrances from the citrus box, Goutal Bois d’Hadrien. It’s a gorgeous warm, woody citrus.

I just bathed C in Acqua di Parma Bergamotto di Calabria, which didn’t impress him.

That's one of my summer scents, but sadly it disappears in about ten minutes on me - hopefully he'll find the same if he hates it!

It’s very fleeting, isn’t it! Citrus scents often are. I love the juicy lemony sherbet opening but he said it smelled like floor cleaner.

My perfume order has been flagged for review. :lg: I used my points & paid for next day delivery, so £6 for an £80 scent, and I want it tomorrow. :tantrum:

Flagged for review by whom? I love that Goutal, if none of the roses grab me I think that might be how I spend my loyalty points too.

By Escentual! But I’ve had a despatch note now.

I’m on the Iris box from Escentual now & wearing scent A. They’re all lovely, and all different on the strips.

There’s 25% off fragrance at Escentual until next week too, which is frustrating as I can’t buy any until I know what they are! :)) It’s made me dig out my MH Violet Ida sample though, and that’s gorgeous.

I've given the iris box a miss, but I'm finding it quite difficult not to cave. I'll be back for the patchouli one in May though.

I don't like the new format much, plus I find it aggravating that I almost always want the £££ one.

I'm wearing Mumbai Noise by Byredo today, my friend got me a sample size. It's a stupid name but I really like it.

It is an annoying format. I get that Thomas probably has a life to lead, but I liked it the old way. :tantrum:

Yes, I don't mind that he is only free once a month (although I'm assuming he's paid) but it's too long to wait and if it's a night you're not free then you don't have a second chance a fortnight later. Plus it's weeks to wait even for wear days so everyone just goes rogue and then there's fewer folk to compare notes with as we're all wearing different stuff on different days.

I got the patchouli box but haven’t opened it yet.

I’m wearing Seville à l’Aube right now, after someone from the group sent me a sample. It’s very nice but I’m not sure it’s full bottle worthy, which is just as well since it’s discontinued.

This morning I was wearing my new Wander Through the Parks, which I love.
