They do need a lot of breaking in.

I'm neither up nor down about them. I've seen worse shoes out there.

My opinion depends on shoe size, i.e. the smaller the foot, the less acceptable they are. I think anything a 5 or below they would (for me) look too much like they come from the Clarks kids’ dept in the 90s :sizeist:

See, whereas I was imagining my enormous clown feet in them and thinking how ridiculous they’d look :))

There’s definitely a sweet spot of average foot sized, left political leanings, public sector job, slightly off/asymmetric hair, tie dye clothing and cross body bag.

They would nicely finish off a militant lesbian outfit.

This is me except for the hair and tie dye.

I think I might get some ordinary doc shoes. :))

I was kind of describing you (and the lesbian couple on Wanted Down Under yesterday). :))

 I might get an asymmetric bob and an aggressively short fringe.

Don't encourage me. I'm hormonal and have a lot of spare time over the next 6 weeks.

Time enough for a short fringe to grow out a bit

Hmmm, well I am a fine one to talk about footwear, and all my footwear comes from Dr Marten, but I am in two minds. Unlike Hazey, I would go very classic and plain if wearing those, so you don’t look like some hessian wearing middle aged lady who once liked smoking weed. However I have never worn Mary Janes (or these) since three of us turned up in the office in them and we realised they were standard social worker/charity sector middle aged lady wear.

:verm: I look TERRIBLE with a fringe. Mostly because I have a cowlick that makes it look like I have horns.

I love this thread.
Maybe an asymmetric fringe rather than an aggressively short one?

Ummm, I'm not sure what to make of this!

While I am seriously considering these in collaboration with The Who Image

I do not own and never plan to buy Marten Mary Janes.
