I wound up messaging Brie, the CEO of Snag, about this. I got this reply which was rather heartening:


Thanks for this! We are between social media managers at the moment, and the social team themselves are super ‘progressive’ and they ran away with that post in a way that wasn’t very Snag. I’m so sorry you and others got treated that way and I’ll make sure it doesn’t happen again. Everyone has the right not to consume images that make them uncomfortable. We’ve had a long internal chat about that post and how it made people feel
And we came up with an idea of doing a Snag NSFW Facebook group. So all these type of images will be constrained to that group so our main feed and groups will be totally under 18 safe and broadly ‘vanilla’. It’s a difficult line to draw in how to support people and encourage confirmed and we ended up on the wrong side of it with that post. I’m really sorry about it. Also really sorry to lose you and others from our social platform. Hopefully we can prove to you that we can do a better job of curating stuff in time.

My Better Tights arrived. The plain tights are fine, but the printed tights were a let down: unlike Snag ones, they are clearly stitched together and the seam is visible which makes them look really cheap. I particularly liked a mushroom print so am disappointed. Hopefully, Snag up their social media game.

I ordered plain and a patterned pair and I haven't tried the patterned ones yet, so that sounds a bit disappointing.

I agree that the printed ones are a bit odd. I really thought they were not finished when I unpacked them, and they are printed so they have a print line at each side. I do like them but they could be better I think.

I haven't tried the plain coloured ones yet.

Bump- I am struggling to find tights here that don’t start falling down halfway on the way to work.

Is this massive terf okay to order from Snag? I could order from M&S if need be but I checked on the off chance that Snag have an EU store and they do. I’m tall (but I can never remember how tall- 176cm I think or 5’8” - 5’9”) with a bit of a belly, UK size 18. I think I would need a size F, is anyone similarly shaped?

I have ordered several pairs from Snag again over the last few months. They've toned down their bollocks and I was really impressed with Brie's response so I have become a regular customer again and their stuff really is good quality.

I'm 5ft 8-9" and size 14 - I go for E.

I think an F would be fine Hazey. I’m 5ft 7 and a 20, and I generally go for an F.

Hahaha. How funny! I listened to it but have never seen anyone complain about Snag swimwear except for on here. Although the fact they've never sold out seems sus. They must delete comments from their social media very quickly.

Thanks for the feedback. My SIL also recommended them and she is taller and a bit bigger than me too. I’m found a pair from Primark at the back of my chesters this morning and they have stayed up beautifully.
