They don't fit her. That's why she's trying it on. Vinted, unlike eBay, don't automatically side with the buyer - fingers crossed for you. I bet she doesn't bother returning them.

I've had a parcel disappear thanks to Yodel, but both I and the buyer got refunds very quickly.

Stuff like this really pisses me off! I have bought and sold loads on Vinted but only once had a bad experience with a buyer when a wool knitted dress I sold her got negative feedback. I didn't sell it as new, added very clear photos of the condition it was in and she only paid €5. Still she claimed the pilling on it made it unwearable. She didn't want to return it though.

I know, what do they expect! I'm always honest in text and photos. Anyway, I gave her a refund because I like the shoes and will keep them myself. They categorically do not smell remotely of smoke though.

Did you get the shoes back?

You can leave her feedback politely pointing out she's a scammer.

Yeah, shoes back - she bought the postage - smelling of leather.

I can.

Do it. I really regret losing my opportunity to leave feedback for my have-a-go-scammer.

Woohoo!

I put an empty diptyque candle glass on yesterday and sold it for a tenner.

I saw one for sale in an antique centre today and thought wtf?

I’ve really got to sell stuff in anticipation of moving!

I know, it's nuts! It's the second one I've sold. The other one was bought for £6. I include the box. :))

Do people put a shit Lidl candle in it and pretend it’s the real thing?

People use them to store make up brushes etc. but I bet you can also refill them with other candles if you wanted. It’s all about the aesthetic.

I might walk round and drop off my parcel now. I’ve been pretty ruthless with stuff and have been steaming things while photographing.

Flipping heck, it’s all go. I’ve sold another two already, one while walking home from dropping the first off.

I haven't sold anything for a while but I am trying to find a dress for a very very posh wedding and was bemoaning the fact I was too big for my favourite EVER dress. Just found it on Vinted in the next size up for a tenner. :dotty: Fingers crossed it fits.

What are our views on accepting offers for things? I have a skirt on at £4 and yesterday someone offered £2.40 & I declined with a counter offer of £3. Today someone has offered £5 on a dress I’d priced at £7. I’m more likely to accept that one I think.

Depends if you want rid quickly or want the full value.
Do not walk behind me, for I may not lead. Do not walk ahead of me, for I may not follow. Do not walk beside me either, just fuck off and leave me alone.
