I have an actual NEED for a maxi dress. I have tried a couple on but I am 5 foot 8 and they seem to be coming up a bit short on me :grump:
Any fellow tall people have any recommendations?

Every maxi dress I have tried on makes me look frumpy as fuck, and pregnant :lg:. I am not pleased. Why do most of them not have waists?

I like Long Tall Sally but they may actually be a bit too long. I'm 5ft 9.

M&S and Dorothy Perkins Tall range are also pretty long too. £10 of all Dotty P dresses until Friday - online only.

I would, but it's too high-waisted. I need one at proper waist height or I'm all stomach and hips. But thank you!

Wear with a belt Ella?

Don't let a pregnant tum put you off non-maternity maxis Wendy. Mine looked good up duffed and is nice now too.

I saw a plain one nice one in DP's (I'm so boring, but I really don't like tiered ones) and it's a bargain. Oh. It was on the website but now there's £10 off all dresses online it's gone. The photo still remains to taunt me but it's not for sale Image:cry:

Oh, what a pain. I like plain ones too. There are some on the John Lewis site from about £30, I think. Might be worth a look (no idea about the quality).

I am 5'9andabit and I tried on a black maxi in H&M earlier than was just hitting the floor. I did not buy it because I looked ming :teacher: but it was definitely long enough, and a nice dress just not nice on me. It was black jersey, spaghetti straps and a low-ish V neckline and about £15. I also held one up against me :scientific: in Primark that looked a similar length, I think it was the one nineseven posted about before.

Has anyone spotted one on their hunt?

I thought I'd seen something like that. Maybe ASOS, or Warehouse?
