I actually think this might be worth investigation:

I tried THIS on today.

I picked up what I thought were 2 size 12s; one standard length and one longer length. The longer length one was long enough but felt a bit big so I tried the other on which fitted perfectly but was a bit short. Turns out the longer length one was a size 18! They didn't have a longer 12 in the store nor have they online so I may have to have a trip to the big M&S in Warrington.

The only problem is that it is black

What's it like on, Bramble? I have that one in my basket as a potential.

Just spotted this on the DP web site too, £30.

It's lovely on Pip, which is why I was annoyed that they didn't have the longer length in my size. I have had a look on the website and it seems to be back in stock so I will go to the big M&S on Tuesday afternoon and hopefully get one

I like that DP one too.

I saw these two yesterday in Wallis and I loved the purple one, just not sure about the hem line on it.

OK, inspired by this thread, I went on a maxi dress hunt. Unfortunately, Monsoon ship to pretty much every European country (including Luxembourg FFS) except Holland. Grrrr. Anyway, my online shopping took me to eBay and I appear to have bought this Monsoon maxi dress:

One I bought from eBay arrived today. Problems though: it's slightly, slightly too short (and not much of a hemline to let out) and is a bit tight around the chest. Apart from that, it's lovely and swishy. I really like the dress you bought Dutchie.

Well, I have been and bought the black one from M&S. I did have to go up a size as it was fairly clingy but the 14 doesn't look too big. I tried the white one on and it is quite transparent which is why I went for the black.

Lengthwise, it just skims under my ankles.

My Monsoon dress has arrived!! It's lovely and a perfect fit, so I'm a happy bunny! The lovely Accessorize dress Pip linked to is not so lovely IRL, I found. We have Accessorize (but not Monsoon) over here, so I had a look and they had it there. The thing is, it's really summery and would be perfect to wear on holiday but it's entirely made of polyester! That's a lot of money for something that is going to make you sweat like a pig.

I've bought this one, I totally have fallen in love with it. I don't normally do girlie or patterned so I'm pleased, and can't wait to wear it.
I'm going to have it shortened by about 6 inches.
The border which looks black in the pic is actually navy blue.
