Some people are idiots. Just refuse the refund.

:))
You'll be able to get a refund but you may need to wait a while. Eventually you'll get a prompt from vinted which gives the option to raise non delivery. This happened to me several times during the world cycling championship in Glasgow when road closures apparently meant InPost couldn't cope (all other couriers seemed fine....).Pippedydeadeye wrote: ↑Sun Aug 27, 2023 3:53 pm I bought a pair of leggings that InPost are returning to sender. Except I don’t think they’ll make it there either. I’ve tried to raise an issue in Vinted but they don’t make it easy. I’m not sure what I’m meant to do now.

Oh that got sorted ages ago! I got a refund; she got them back & relisted & I bought them again with no issues the second time around. It was bloody frustrating at the time though. I would always avoid InPost now.

Re: Vinted
Don't be furious, vinted is totally weighted towards sellers so at most she'll be able to pay the postage back to return it so you can relist it. It's annoying but she won't even be able to leave you negative feedback if she returns it.Lily wrote: ↑Tue Nov 14, 2023 4:59 pm I'm livid.
I sent a dress which is labelled as grey/navy ombre, with a couple of photos of it. The colours were marked as navy and grey. The buyer has now said "I received a dress which looks completely different to the photographs" and says she was expecting a plain grey dress. The photo that she sent me shows the exact same dress.
All this over £6.

Re: Vinted
Thank you, I was just cross because she was telling porkies about the 'photo being blurred'. Which I'll point out to her but I'll wait to get the dress back first. She has also admittted to not reading the description - and is paying for the return. Good news about the lack of feedback - much better than eBay where you get blackmailed into pandering to the buyer's every whim. Next time though I'll try refusing although I don't want to be forced into a return.

I hate inpost with a passion but unfortunately many people seem to like it, my sales have increased after I allowed it as a shipping option

Re: Vinted
I bought something and as I selected the home delivery, I didn’t clock that it was in post. I was expecting a disaster, but was surprised when it was delivered by Royal Mail.
I’ve taken everything down as they had been on for a few months.

Yes, second time around I opted for delivery rather than pickup and it was fine & Royal Mail.
I’ve taken all my stuff down too. It wasn’t ever going to sell.

Re: Vinted
I've just reduced it all a bit as I'm here all week for posting and it's all going to the charity shop other wise. Also my local post office, a minute from my door is now taking evri parcels so it's no hassle

I guess you don't lose out from the return and then you don't get any negative feedback that way.Lily wrote: ↑Wed Nov 15, 2023 2:23 pm Thank you, I was just cross because she was telling porkies about the 'photo being blurred'. From a buyer point of view I'm outraged about the feedback bit. I bought a few Paw Patrol toys, listed as very good condition, for about half the price of new (so not crazy cheap). They arrived and they were covered in mud! They're not outdoor toys at all so not like buying a bucket and spade and complaining it's a bit sandy. ;) and they'd taken the photo from a specific angle to disguise that parts were chipped, stickers torn off etc.
I sent a polite message saying I was disappointed in the condition, and that were they aware about the mud etc. They sent a message back saying I should expect to clean all secondhand toys so what was I complaining about!
I could return but paid postage so was out of pocket, and then I couldn't review to warn others, and they'd just relisted exactly the same description, very good condition, no mention of dirt/damage etc. So I guess they will keep trying to flog them to people and nothing can be done which is really frustrating. It's really put me off as a buyer.
Interestingly after I'd received them someone did post a negative review saying they'd got something damaged and dirty too. But if you do that you then can't return!

Re: Vinted
Bumping this as I have some stuff I want to sell - a couple of coats that are old but good quality (Monsoon, Phase Eight) and only been worn a few times each; a couple of dresses, Monsoon and oasis, again old but only worn a few times; 2 things which are new with tags still on - a Hush dress, and Sweaty Betty leggings.
Any thought as to what I should price them at?
Also tips re photos and delivery options please? I'm a total newbie at this.
Thanks :)

Re: Vinted
Not a lot of help, but Vinted tell you what similar items have sold for when you've filled out the rest of the info.

I usually search for those items and then see what the prices are like and then price similarly.

Re: Vinted
It’s still quite upsetting how cheap stuff goes for when it’s still in brilliant condition or new, but it’s better than nothing and eBay is defo dead.

I tend to hang clothes against the back of door (white background) to take pictures including the size/clothes care labels, tags etc.. I also add measurements and any specific details.
For pricing I tend to do a bit of searching to see what similar items are for sale, I do add a few pounds more to allow for offers to be made.
Postage wise I have changed my settings so I can use nearest place for drop offs and avoid the "locker' option based on comments I think on this thread.
Good Luck Sal In getting your items sold

Yes, having had a quick scan I can see that. However, this stuff no longer fits me, or I wouldn't wear it so it either goes to the charity shop or I try selling it here.Princess Morripov wrote: ↑Sun Jan 21, 2024 6:17 pm It’s still quite upsetting how cheap stuff goes for when it’s still in brilliant condition or new, but it’s better than nothing and eBay is defo dead.
Thanks everyone for the tips!

The locker option is cheap for buyers though. Our nearest is in our local Sainsbury’s and you can put a note on the listing saying you only post out once a week to save yourself going back and forth all the time.
