You take the parcel to a drop off. Scan the bar code on the label and then a door pops open in a locker for you to put the parcel into. Then it gets taken to the buyers choice of locker to collect.

All my recent sales have been locker collection so I’d be wary of not offering it.

Thanks Luna, looks like there is one near me at a massive Tesco so that's handy for parking etc.

Where do you get the label from though? Sorry if I seem thick but I've never used these lockers

The buyer buys the label which you print off and that has the bar code on it. There’s another option for in post to provide the label for you but that’s not as popular. Also I think you shove the parcel in the locker unaddressed which seems a bit mad!

I always print my own address labels and stick them firmly on. I think evri has an option for the shop to print the label as well but I’m a bit anal about checking everything is correct before dropping off etc.

I have done the label thing before too and its never been an issue so far.

I have a ton of old (but like new) shirts that I want to get rid of, but is it worth listing them? I mean there are some proper brands in there (Thomas Pink and the like) along with the usual Next and other high street brands.

But I'm guessing the high end ones will go for around a tenner, but is a shirt from Next, even in perfect nick going to go for anything more than a couple of quid?

Just look what’s selling that’s similar. Or do a bundle deal. I’m going to sell a load of tops for a friend that will do better in a bundle deal rather than faffing about individually.

Depends if you want the hassle, but people do buy cheap highstreet stuff, not just brands. I agree with the bundle advice - would be very handy for someone who's just got their first office job or has lost / gained weight.

Yeah, I'll sell the decent ones separately and bundle up the others I reckon. Makes much more sense.

I’ll buy from a locker but won’t post from them. You can also select to your home with the locker drop off though, and that seems to come via Royal Mail after they drop it off.

The print in store option for Evri and Yodel works absolutely fine.

You get a QR code or barcode to take to the store and either scan it at the printer console, or staff at the till scan & print.

If I have a lot of stuff I’ll write on the bag what is inside/the initials of the person I’ve sold to. And sometimes I don’t seal the bag until I’ve printed the label.

The scan instore stuff is really, really easy. But I think it relies on the purchaser selecting that option? Unless I have missed something in the past.

Whatever they select (apart from in post lockers), you can always print in store.

Ah, that makes sense. I have had a healthy mix of both in the past.

Check the store you go to offers that before you merrily go on your way!

I put up 4 things last night and 2 sold within eight minutes. I have been eyeing up a pair of gold Hush Puppies, was saving Amazon vouchers for them (£50 reduced from £80), and found a pair in great condition for a tenner on Vinted!

I just bought a skirt I've wanted for ages on Vinted. I'm so happy, it's never come back in stock and the one I bought is apparently unworn (but without tags) and was around half price.

I read an article the other week and Vinted is Lithuania's first unicorn company - it's amazing really: https://www.theguardian.com/fashion/202 ... ar-company
