I have sold lots of unopened cosmetics. Nothing of this ilk is supposed to be sold as used so if it is clearly used then you would have a case I guess. But if you're wondering if it's genuine then I suppose that is a risk.

I have loads of times! If the description says it’s new/unused/unopened then I’m fine with buying on vinted/ebay.

Not so much wondering if it's real, I'm just hoping shower gel wouldn't leak in transit. It's more risky than mascara or powder eyeshadow (which I have myself sold in the past).

Why would it be any more likely to leak from Vinted? Amazon are the worst for terrible packaging.

I've put some trousers & jeans on and very quickly got messages on two of them asking me for pictures of them being worn (from different accounts) I can't do it any way since they're too small now ( ) but do you think it's some perv thing?

It's a fair point that it's hard to visualise any item not being worn, but even if they did fit me I won't have the same body as the potential buyer.

One has replied to my message saying I can't as they're not my size, saying thanks no problem. So probably genuine, has a profile selling women's clothes in the size of the jeans and only positive feedback. The other one has positive feedback but isn't selling anything...

Yes, I wouldn't think asking to see clothes being worn as a pervy thing. Every clothes website shows clothes on a model and my body is definitely different to a model's but o can understand it. Most of the stuff I sell is precisely because its too small for me also, PG-I get asked it from time to time and it's never great for the old self-esteem.
When I see loads of positive feedback but they're not selling anything, I always assume that means they're on Vinted primarily (if not solely) to buy, so you have a good chance of selling to them.

One of the pairs is BNWT because for some inexplicable reason I bought them a size smaller than I've ever really been. I suppose at the time I must have fitted into them in the shop and thought I'd be prepared to never sit down whilst wearing them :ella: Now they're 2 sizes too small

You could see if you can find a photo of a model wearing them from the original store?

I don't think it's necessarily pervy but neither would I bother trying to source them a photo. I'd offer detailed measurements etc but that's as much as I'd do. Part of the reason you get stuff cheap on Vinted is that you're taking a chance because you can't try it on like you could in a shop, or send it back if you bought it online from the retailer.

I asked a seller for the waist measurement of a dress. She told me a week ago that she can't provide the measuremeant because she's abroad (she didn't put her articles on holiday mode), and she never said she would measure the waist when she got back home. That was a week ago. As I said, she never masked her articles which you'd surely do If you ere going away for more than a couple of days, no?
I honestly think people shouldn't put expensive stuff up on sale if they're not bothered to make the slightest effort beyond taking the photo. She's looking for over €100 for this dress, I'd want to be fairly sure about it!

Definitely \isam. I would do holiday mode if it was as mini as a bank holiday weekend as I hate things needing posting/ questions answered hanging over me.I wouldn't bother with her and wouldn't want to furnish her pocket no matter how much I might desire the item.

I bought a dress on 27 April. The seller, who is based in the Netherlands, still hasn't posted it. According to Vinted France (I don't imagine Vinted UK would be different), the seller has five working days to send the item, and I gather Saturday and Sunday don't count as working days, nor would 1 May as it was a holiday. So wouldn't today be the last day she has to post it? I'm torn between sending her a message to ask her if she intends posting it, and not sending her anything, just let her post it or not and let the time expire so the sale is cancelled automatically. Other sellers are also selling the dress the last time I checked. Either way, I think it's pretty bad form on her part.

If you go to the inbox, it will always say the last day they have to send. Something I bought in the 27 has today as the last day so they still have time.

I agree that it would be polite to have let you know though as most people do send sooner.

If lots were selling the same thing I often ask when they could list and go with a responsive/helpful person.

I've had people message me asking when I'm sending something so I don't think it'd be unreasonable for you to do it.

I've only sold on Vinted but I've got quicker at sending parcels because I've had a few messages asking when I'm sending. When I've been slower doing it, it's usually because I don't have the right packaging available, or because they want it send using a printed label :verm: and i need to do that in work.
