Yes, I do. Which is part of the reason why I posted this, I feel I need some extra motivation to buy it! :))Pippedydeadeye wrote: ↑Mon Feb 19, 2024 9:13 pm You know my and Ken’s feelings about a floofy skirt already.![]()

I’ve worn mine 3 times; a day out in London, the theatre in Manchester & for dinner with friends.

I wore mine for my birthday and Teddy's baptism. I'll be wearing it more once there's less risk of a child smearing stuff on it. ;)
If your back's against the wall, turn around and write on it.

I saw this dress on Instagram, I thinkkits beautiful. Its by an independent designer who says to DM for the price- jad it been even under £500, I'd have been tempted, but it's £795. Such a shame as I really like it.

I love that! I’m sure I wore something similar when I was 10 :))

There are definitely loads of those kind of dresses around.
Pink city prints might be worth a look: https://www.pinkcityprints.com/collections/dresses?

Loeffler Randall: https://loefflerrandall.com/collections/dresses

Ha, I said that then went and had a quick look and there wasn't anything in that exact aesthetic, but I'm sure you'll find something for much less.
I know costs are massive if you pay a fair wage and produce in Europe, but that looks to me like a simple-to-sew, unlined, cotton dress, so the price feels a bit offensive!

Re: Items to which I am allured
Well, I had enough motivation and ordered the skirt. It arrived and I was already less enamoured with it once I unpacked it. It looked not so much floofy but pouffy. I tried it on and it was the most unflattering skirt ever! I looked like an Easter egg. The netting stood out and made me look like I had the hugest hips and bum. So it has been returned!Dutchie wrote: ↑Tue Feb 20, 2024 9:40 amYes, I do. I simpy can't afford it, plus its crazy to pay when I haven't even tried it on. Anyway thank you for having a look for me, that's kind of you.ParisGal wrote: ↑Thu Mar 07, 2024 11:42 amHa, I said that then went and had a quick look and there wasn't anything in that exact aesthetic, but I'm sure you'll find something for much less.

I think I need a floofy skirt like yours and Ken's. Where did they come from again?

They were from Hush. There were other similar ones about too when I was looking, and I’ve recently seen similar here: https://www.elsiesattic.co.uk/product-c ... ng/skirts/

Re: Items to which I am allured

These are "very high waisted" coton Cos trousers. Size 40 (12).
Does any one have any idea how they'd be likely to fit me / look as someone with a fairly defined waist (i.e. bigger hips). The seller has already given the waist measurement, so that's OK but I don't know what sort of figure Cos suits.

Cos is very very oversized. They look super long.
