Sack the stylist!

I was sure we had one of these threads but I saw a truly awful picture on the Atterley Rd blog and had to post it. The 'Mom' jeans with high-waist and bonus ankle-swinging length . What better way to wear them with than a nasty pair of stilettos that look like they come from Brantano. I am sure all these things would look about 75% better if they were not 'styled' thusly.

I'm not sure those jeans can be saved

I had ones exactly like it in about 1987 and thought I was Ally Sheedy .

Jeans that make a model look a bit chunky. Hmm.

H&M just sent me a mail about the "nouvelle tendance bohème". This apparently involves making a pantsuit out of your granny's curtains and stealing her sandals.

The shoes that are about at the moment are mostly awful.

Gads . I honestly can't choose between the sandals and the jumpsuit. Bloody hell!

Marks and Spencer seem to be going for 1970's librarian going by their Twitter feed. Unless they're targeting me and think library people really do dress like that. Sorry Marks, you've got it wrong. Black skinny jeans, ankle boots and a nice top.

Speedy, this is most definitely a show or STFU thread :)).

The mom jeans model looks as if she's had a puberty growth spurt. :mog:

It's probably gone off their feed now but imagine beige, calf length, elasticated waist skirt with some awful top.
ETA Description a bit wrong but here it is. 1970's librarian on a day out.

M&S have a suede (or "suede") a-line knee length skirt that apparently was big news.

Is that actual picture from their website, Speedy? What the actual fuck? Again, I would have killed for an outift like that when I was about 15 and wanted to look like the glamorous 6th formers at my school who wore a lot of pastel, fluffy jumpers and dirndl skirts.

Shoes at the moment are genuinely upsetting me, either you have to have stiletto height thin ones or stupid chunky platform heels ala 1996.

I do NOT get what this skirt ('THE skirt') is about. It looks like what my mum wore in the early 80s, and not in a good way.

Yes from their official twitter feed. Even the model doesn't want to be seen in it as they've lopped her head off.

That's definitely a picture from their current 'collection' and not an attempt at recreating Lady (as was) Diana's seethru skirt outfit?

Fuck me!

Ambassador, with this White Stuff sack of spuds dress, you are really spoiling us. No wonder it's been on sale for the past year. It's so flattering.
