Is there anything to tighten the hood so it stays up when it's windy and raining?

Hoods are always a bit odd, but when it's freezing/raining who cares?

I like it. I love a midi coat.

I don't actually mind the hood. I just can't get the image of myself aged about 8 'wearing' a quilted brown sleeping bag out of my mind.

Its going back . Big fail on finding boots too.

I like it, smal. I love the hood too (although it'd annoy me for visibility no doubt). My waterproof jacket really annoys me because the hood is just all round too small, it is built for pea-headed people (or people with no neck, maybe?).

I mean honestly, it is what it is. It was never going to look chic. It looks like a useful warm coat. You don't look any worse that whats-her-name in the marketing photo.

You have provided a great service to TMT regardless, smal. Whenever I find hooded coats/jackets that I like the shape of, the hood is almost always fur lined which I HATE, so I’ve been reading with interest. I loved my Zara (non furry) hooded coat that I’ve had for a couple of years, but the zip on every single one was shit and I bought it anyway, but would never do it again as it made me so angry eventually

I’ve had a good zip on a Next coat before, but if you zipped it could you tell me how was this one? The Zara one caught on the fabric underneath every.single.time from the beginning so even your short time with this one would help. And also could you or someone with the spreadsheet tell me how tall smal is please? :))

My long duvet coat, I have to crouch to zip it up. :))

I'm swinging back round to keeping it . You must all be enthralled by this :uhh:. Its £85 though and now I'm trying to imagine if I'll do £85 worth of desperate lockdown walks :mog:
The zip seemed fine. Obviously you have to stoop a lot because its basically at ground level, but whatevs. I'm 5'4". I also am put off by furry hoods on this kind of thing because they always look like road kill within minutes.

:mog: Don't pay £85 if it's going to make you feel sad.

I quite like it, but I’m not the most stylish of peeps. The only thing I’m wondering about is that if you do the zip up all the way, do you become Kenny from South Park, i.e. with only your eyes visible? It’d certainly be warm, if so!

I think it looks fine but you can do better. That said, I've been looking for the perfect duvet coat for years...

I love my duvet coat but I would not expect to love it because it looks stylish on. :)) I don’t think twice about how it looks because it’s so warm and cosy.

This was always going to be a function over form purchase right?

I have a mid calf version of this and the hood is ridiculous but I don’t often wear it up as I can’t hear anything so have a beanie on or an umbrella in case of rain.

I bought an enormous duvet coat, mint green with white fleece inside and enormous hood, last year. It could easily fit another person inside and I LOVE IT.

Don't just think walks, odds on we're also going to be doing a lot of outside socialising this winter and it'll be perfect for that. I think it's a bargain which will prove its worth many times over :)

Alright. I'm keeping it.

Thats it, del. There's going to be a lot of meeting for a coffee in the park in lieu of any other options.
