Re: The Dressing Room
Blimey, thank you! I didn't think I looked that amazing but I didn't feel bad and I've never ever worn a strapless dress because of my shoulders. My SIL made me buy this and I did love it although I had to hoik it up a bit when dancing.

You look fantastic in that dress Lily!
I’ve ordered some new casual trainers, gym leggings and a dress.

Re: The Dressing Room
You do look great, Lils! And nice work, Roma!
I have a question that doesn't really warrant a thread of its own. We have been invited to the Prefecture (city hall-type thing) to be officially conferred with French nationality next Monday. I want to dress smartly, but I only have one pair of winter trousers that is not jeans. These Camden wide-leg pants, but in navy.
I usually wear them with these Onitsuka Tigers trainers.
Are trainers still a no-no for looking smart, though?I have a pair of heeled ankle boots I could wear them with instead, but ankle-boots and wide-leg trousers feel very 80s to me.

As somebody who (for weather reasons) chose a terrible boots/trousers combo today and is bitterly regretting it as I flap around like a galleon in full sail, make sure your trousers are properly long enough if you go for the boots .

Ella speaks sense. I think the trainers and trousers combo is smart enough and better to be smart-slightly cazhj than have flappy wide legs and boots (sorrry Ella I don't wish to make you feel worse, just crawl around or kneel and walk on your knees).

Poor Ella I’d go trainers, too (though I definite err on the side of casual most of the time). Also, congratulations! How exciting. Will you have a wee celebration?

Congratulations Zooms!
I just bought this linen play suit. MrE hates it, but I’m not taking his opinion into consideration as it’s very comfortable and cool in this hot weather and has pockets. Excuse my face and hair. I spent a few hours in the pool and impulse bought it when I was out for fizzy wine.

I like it! You could put a tan belt around it for shape to make it smarter too: I love the versatility! I have a strapless play suit and SB hates it. Must be a play suit thing

Re: The Dressing Room
Thanks guys. Belt is a good call actually, Scoots, thanks. It would make it even casual work appropriate.
