That's lovely Pip! I have been sent (at my request) an Aussie Akubra hat for a Christmas present from my sister, as I wanted something that would be both a rain and sun hat for dog walking. It's definitely more of a statement hat than that, but I love it (just call me Mick )
Akubras are great. I love mine :trueblueAussie: I love hats and think they definitely should be worn more. I can’t wear beanies due to tiny head issues but will be looking for a winter hat this year. I also love my New York Yankees baseball cap. It’s the first one I’ve found that fits properly.
I am v pleased with my lovely Mint Velvet jumper, courtesy of eBay. When I wear it I look like I'm one of those women who knows how to wear clothes properly.
I also got some Toxic jeans today which I was also v pleased by as they actually FIT and were not stupidly expensive.

Shopping for a new pair of shorts was almost as painful as jeans shopping. But I got these in the end (after trying on a million different pairs in varying sizes).
Warehouse have an extra 15% off sale items today so I’ve ordered this cardigan. I thought it might look good with a pleated midi skirt (of which I have a couple).
