All M&S. I’m hoping they’ll roll up and look ok.

Thanks, that’s very kind of you.

The wide leg trousers are ones that Katkinn put on her instagram stories a week(?)* ago and I’ve been intrigued ever since because they just feel so 90s/00s but I fancy trying them again.

*time has lost all meaning now.

Please link me up with the 90s trousers. I don’t want to look at DMBL40s Instagram if ai can avoid it!

I’ll be delighted if wider trousers stick around. I bought some linen ones back in March, but I’ve never worn them. Seems a bit silly round the house. Also, they’re not quite the style of wide I mean :blah:.

My dresses arrived today. I’ll do another trying-on session tomorrow, but first thoughts are that both are fine, although the linen one is very “older ladies’ writing retreat”. Possible risk of mild kook.

Mild kook in high summer is ok I think. But we know I’m firmly on CBeebies presenter/weather girl territory.

These are the trousers. 30% off today only. https://www.marksandspencer.com/wide-le ... _pdp_share

Thanks Pip! Those are so reasonable but I am anti-creased leg so not for me.

Older ladies’ writing retreat is a very specific look. I know exactly what you mean!

You need those big Iris Apfel style glasses to fully own the look.

The crease is what worries me about the trousers.

I've never bought anything from Weird Fish (too many associations with the half-zip jumper that is the preserve of so many men in IT) but I was looking for simple dresses and found these. Super quick delivery and they are really nice. I'm not sure I can carry off the yellow but Berty insists it works and she is ruthless

I really like the shorts. The orange I’ve rolled up an extra roll from how they came, the khaki are as is.

The wide leg trousers are lovely fabric, it hangs beautifully, and I think I like them on me, but they’re masses too long. I’m going to order the shorter length & see how we go.

The shorts look great on you. Keep both!

The trousers look nice too but definitely worth trying the shorter ones unless you’re going for the VB look ;)

I’m definitely not going for that. Though you would struggle to tell us apart in a line up, it’s true. :)) Even with wedge heels, the regular are too long.

Wide leg trousers are definitely back. I am unsure of most of them on me but I do have some garish ones from Warehouse that I love.

I like your shorts, Pip.

Those trousers look lovely. What fabric are they? I used to love my wide legged trousers but only with a side zip/flat fronted. I wonder if I've still got some which were free as part of my Paul Costello uniform when I worked at HoF back on 2007. They matched a jacket which I've still got.

They’re like a heavy, stretchy crepe. I expected more of a ponte type fabric.
