Re: The Dressing Room
Thanks. I'm hoping it's not too blingy in real life.
So far, it's just resulted in me buying a massively expensive (for me) bag, but I'm hoping it'll mean I resist buying crap a bit more. Well, I also haven't bought any crap at all all this year, so yay me.

Re: The Dressing Room
I think you were the one who said something about putting on an item of clothing that you love and it inspired me to start sorting my closets. Why have so many things, instead of having fewer items, but loving all of them.

No, that wasn't me, but it's what I've decided I need to do anyway. I'm terrible for buying a lot of cheap clothes that fit me badly and/or that I don't take care of properly or wear enough. I need to stop doing that.

Lovely handbag, Zoom and that velvet skirt is gorgeous, Marth.
I did a similar thing with handbags, Zoomer and now buy them infrequently but go for leather/much better quality ones when I do purchase. And with work dresses too (though I’ve been buying second hand via eBay).

I love that shirt. I nearly bought it as well, but couldn't justify it, having just bought one similar but black.Pippedydeadeye wrote: ↑Wed Jan 13, 2021 10:45 pm I’ve bought these from M&S. Plus three pairs of thermal socks.

Re: The Dressing Room
I have that velvet skirt, in both black and blue. I’ve worn the black one a lot with a black turtleneck
I had some vouchers from Christmas to use up so got what I am hoping is finally the holy grail leather skirt.
Also a spotty jersey skirt and a 90s’/granny-esque longer one to wear with Docs and attitude.

Re: The Dressing Room
I've decided to get dressed in my work clothes every working day rather than house clothes. I think the waist bands will help keep me on the straight and narrow. :oink:
I've been wearing them about 3 months now.

I wouldn't want to be seen in public in some of mine because they're close to bursting at the seams especially after xmas but they're reminding me that I'm only burning about 2 calories a day in my lockdown sedentary life.

Re: The Dressing Room
I'm not actually wearing them Ella. I've been out tonight in kegging. I have never worn jeggings in my life.

Re: The Dressing Room
I am finding buying business casual clothes a really hard habit to break I'm getting rid of a lot of stuff that I've only ever worn to the office but still can't (metaphorically) walk past a promising smart top or potentially perfect navy trews.
