I bought this dress at the weekend. It’s nice and light for summer. Excuse my make up free face and wet hair.

That’s very pretty. I like the striped one hanging up too! S is very tall by the looks of it.

I was tempted by the striped one too but the sleeves were elasticated which I wasn’t crazy about.

She has just had a growth spurt, yes and is very tall for her age. She’s all leg!

My nanna used to say “ooh, your lovely long legs. They go all the way up to your bum.”

Those boots are very tempting Pip, but I really need ones like that that are waterproof for dog walking.

I'm sick of wind and rain getting in under my umbrella, so I bought one of these L'Hood things ( ) in black, and it has just arrived.

It's a little flimsier-seeming than I'd hope for the price, and I feel a little ridiculous in it, but you can do it up around the neck (it functions like a slap bracelet) and you could tuck all of your hair away quite well, I think.

It being like a slap bracelet is making me feel anxious and suffocated

I realised that might not be quite the selling point I thought it was . It doesn't wrap round and grip, it sort of rests there.

Just 5 years with this, and then I can graduate to the holy grail.

EBay has been coming up trumps for me recently. As well as my Gorman tiger blouse that I won last week I also got this cute dress.

I love those, Pip! I'm going to have a look for my step-daughter. She and my husband shared Mr Men/Little Miss when she was a girl (Little Miss Somersault) and him (Mr. Rush)
