My Marc Jacobs denim skirt arrived and I love it. But I miscalculated the US to AU sizing or it’s vanity sized and it’s too big for me. I think I’m going to try and get it taken in though.

I bought this as I got some backdated pay on Friday. Most of it has gone on bedroom stuff but I thought I should get something pretty too

That’s lovely Sal. Are they true to size, would you say?

They're probably at the bigger end of sizing. I'm usually a 16 and the one I have already is slightly big on me.

Nice, sal! I like the way they've styled it there, with gold boots, I think that could be styled with loads of different colours.

I have ordered the Joanie sweatshirt I loved, as I discovered I have enough in my Quidco account to cover it and there’s 30% off for the BH weekend.

I have also bought the Tu barrel leg jeans that are meant to be a dupe for a Cos pair.

Those look good! I like the preppy Gryffindor vibes of the sweatshirt.

God, are kitten heeled pointy sling backs back? Makes my toes hurt just looking at them!

We played loads of Trivial Pursuit in the 90s so I was tempted by the green Science and Nature one too, they were really my favourite questions at the time.

I still have a pair of kitten heel slingbacks too. They're open almond toe though, not pointy. I never liked pointy shoes.

To be fair, I have a red pointy pair with a block heel - I just don’t wear them anymore because trainers are acceptable office wear these days.

My worst shoe is a slingback with kitten heel.

Sorry not trying to be rude but you know if there was a shoe room 101 they would go in there in my world.

God, same Diccers. I bought a pair that were too pointy so that was painful and they didn’t flex so the sling back kept flipping off. They were without doubt my worst ever shoes :mog:

This is fair. Mine don’t have a kitten heel that I remember. I might dig them out and look at them.

I once got a kitten heel caught in paving on my way to a job interview. I didn’t get the job & never wore them again.

Lots of people hate kitten heels, don't they? I think I threw myself into the kitten heels trend when I was pregnant with the SAM - so 2004/5 (?) - and I had loads of pairs. They always wore really badly and were fucking lethal. I had a pair of red DKNY crocodile kitten-heeled slingbacks. :mog: . I got them in the Kendals sale for less than £20. What a bargain.
