What's in your wardrobe?

Post by Lily »

I started the last thread back in 2018 so figured maybe a new one was in order. I can't think of a better title right now so if someone else does then fel free to edit it.

I am v pleased with these boots - £149 reduced to £57. I've wanted a new pair of ankle boots for ages and these are very comfortable.

They're from Carl Scarpa.

I did a mystery shop there in November and saw these https://www.carlscarpa.com/en/gb/Penelo ... -4962.aspx

which I fell in love with but obviously were ludicrously expensive. I wondered if they'd be reduced, and they are, but they're still expensive; these ones are almost the same (I wasn't sure about the goth chain on the Penelopes anyway), much lighter and affordable!

I just received an eBay purchase and I'm fully delighted! It's a J Crew skirt I loved on Net-A-Porter but wasn't sure about it and it was $$$ even though it was reduced. My saved search alert paid off and I bought it via Thrift+ so a chunk of the money went to charity. It is longer on me which I think works better than in the photo and I think it'll be great in the summer with a navy t shirt.

I appear to be having a bit of a midi skirt moment as I also bought a Marimekko skirt recently. I never would have looked twice at it from the horrible online styling but I was having a quick browse in the end of sales racks last Friday and it looked good with the black roll necklace I was wearing and will be great with black t shirt in the summer. It was reduced 3 times and I had a gift voucher so I paid £1.50 for it :perky:

Bargains Emma! I had to look at the second photo several times as I thought the leopards were very wide straps. :))

I am disappointed that you're not looking to wear the second skirt with a leopard encrusted sweatshirt Emma, it would be so you!

Well you’d need to get at least two of each colour then so you could wear them all together like they’re in a box :))

That’s true! The pink was sold out and I only wanted chocolate if I could get pink as well.

I finally bit the bullet and bought some Snag tights (I hate their woke advert crap) and oh my god they really are that good!! I've the black and purple stripey ones on today and channelling my inner art teacher at the gnome school with my clogs, and also got pink and purple tights and black and white fishnets.

I wish we still had titles so that you could be Art Teacher @ Gnome School, Sky. I know exactly what you mean about their adverts, it's like a special interest fetish site at times. It is really great not to have a gusset round your knees come lunchtime though.

I bought this dress today. It's a departure from my normal style, but A was like, "It's too pretty, Mummy! You have to get it!" Enabled by my five-year-old. :))
