Vinted

Post by Disco »

I thought I'd start a Vinted thread as I knew a few of you are decluttering with it, as am I. I've got a balance of £3 :frolic: :)) but it's £3 more than I had last week.

The parcel tracking seems crap though - has anyone else had issues with tracking? I had to ask my buyer to mark as received and send screenshots to the support team to show it had been delivered. They resolved it quickl;y though.

So far this year I have made £4 selling a woolly hat.

I think if possible it's better to get it sent to a collection point. When the buyer picks up the parcel it marks it as received.

I have made just over £52, mainly on Ruby Shoo shoes.

Do not ever use InPost as a way of sending or receiving parcels. The number of mixed up/lost items is unbelievable.

I've taken it off my options (I think).

I am going to definitely list more things tomorrow.

Thanks both.

I'll see if I can take off InPost. I've never heard of it anyway.

I’ve made about £100 in the past year. I need to find more stuff to sell.

I have made the grand total of £10 on some Playmobil. It went via Evri with no problems at all, in fact delivered earlier than they originally estimated.

It did help that we had a couple vintage Adidas bits to sell.

I’ve sold a few bits and it’s been straightforward apart from one parcel which has been out for delivery a few times, and today is showing as delivered but the recipient swears blind they’ve not received it. They’ve been rude as fuck all the way through like it’s somehow my fault that it’s not been delivered when you can literally read the fucking tracking info.

Presumably if Evri says delivered then I’m going to get the balance transferred/refunded regardless? It’s £20 for some boys trainers so I’d feel a bit peed off if I’m not covered as surely this is word of mouth? They’ve raised an issue against me for non-delivery.

If the tracking says it's been delivered you will get the money. Vinted protects sellers a lot more than eBay does.

I got a refund and the seller got their money back after evri lost a top (but said they delivered it) I bought on vinted. It was pretty straightforward, I had to raise a case of non delivery and fill out a form.

They’ve withdrawn the issue and said they received them yesterday after I sent them a screenshot showing they’d been delivered, people are crackers.

Thanks though, that is useful to know re. seller protection.

One time I raised a not delivered thing because I thought it hadn't been, turned out P had taken in the parcel and put it in a random room and not told me. I was so embarrassed when I realised and apologised profusely to the seller (and cancelled the case with vinted too). :look:

I've just listed a load of dresses.

They've been in a vacuum bag in the loft for over 12 months and I've never thought about them in all that time.

If they haven't gone within three months, they'll go to the charity shop.

This is my plan too. I also go through occasionally and reduce the price on things that have loads of likes but no sale.

I only ever like things in the hope they'll be reduced. ;)

I do this too.

One of my dresses sold overnight!

I just got a great winter skijacket for N from Tommy Hilfiger paid for entirely with my Vinted wallet! It's as new and I managed to bargain it down to €30. Now my wallet is empty though so I need to sell, sell, sell!
