Autumn wishlist

Post by emma_p »

Now the weather has finally turned I'm excited for jumpers, cardis, coats, boots, scarves etc!The shops seem to have loads of nice things at the moment - I think because the 90s/00s are back :perky:

I bought a new cardigan which I'm delighted with (now I have a non-moth holed one!) I do think it's too warm to wear it today but I really want to

I'm also on the look out for a a skirt/jumper co-ord set, the perfect pair of flat boots, a tan bag and maybe a mac/coat.

What’s everyone else coveting? :weewee:

Oh, I LOVE Autumn fashion.

My list comprises:
Black loafers
A sleeveless or shortsleeved beige boxy jumper
Wide leg tweedy trousers (there was a perfect pair I tried on in H&M and they’ve now sold out)
Black satin bias cut skirt

Basically everything I wore in the 90s. :))

90s fashion for me was those trousers that had a skirt attached, t shirts under dresses, clumpy wedge sanders and lots of satin blouses. I don’t think I want to revisit any of that..

I’d like new boots, cosy knitwear - maybe a long cardigan. Celtic & Co have some nice things but they are really expensive

I have some plans re making autumn clothes, I just have to get my finger out! I have a couple of pairs of trousers and tops on the list that will be nice for work. I also have some cord from last year and hope to make a pinafore, having decided I'm not a dungarees person.

I too am looking for nice boots, as I'm still making do with some I bought 2 winters ago that weren't quite what I wanted but were massively reduced in a sale so would put me on.

I didn't have any of those in the 90s - luckily I don't think they've come back

I love my long navy Toast cardigan and get a lot of wear from it. I also love cropped cardis at the moment. This is the cardi I bought:

I love autumn fashion too. I’m mainly looking for flat tan or brown mid-length boots, a chunky cream or grey cardigan, and some kind of coat (no idea what).

That's lovely, Emma.
I was total squatter chic in the 90s.

I've bought a nice cheap tan and black stripe fitted jumper, and will be making a wide leg pair of full length trews.

Me too, I decided it was too hot to wear it today but was inspired dig out a black and ivory stripe long sleeve dress I've not worn in ages and forgot how much I like it.

I seem to live in clothing that’s either black or grey, plus denim. I’ve decided that this autumn I’m going cream! New clothes ahoy! Luckily there’s a lot of it about 😊

Does my bum look 40 linked some great Cos stuff today. I mean, she is a fab clothes horse and looks good in anything but the first black cardigan, I am coveting that. Plus the long sleeved tops.

I need:-

Some black Chelsea boots
Some lined wellies for dog walks

These are both replacements of shoes that had worn out!

I want:-

Some sort of jumper dress, preferably cream
Some brown tailored wide leg trousers
A blue and white striped shirt
Some ecru jeans

Personally, I think she looks unwell. I find her quite manic on Stories. I do love COS though so will brace myself and watch :))

I really want a new pair of jeans and would be keen to explore a wider leg (but not bootcut) but everything I looked at yesterday was stupidly long - even for me and I'm 5'7 so not that short! I had enough of soggy trouser leg bottoms in the early 00s.

I also would like a pair of wide-ish leg black trousers to wear with trainers (this is basically what I lived in as a student in the late 90s - when I spent my student loan on 3 pairs of Joseph trousers!!!) but I haven't seen any I like yet.

I did have a quick look in Cos, Arket and H&M yesterday and noticed there was a lot of beige knitwear about.

Yes, I don't want soggy bottomed trousers either. (And I'm shorter than you, Flora!) I quite fancy some wide legged trousers, but I don't know if I want to have to wear them with heels all the time.

The only thing definitely on my list is a pair of loafers.

I'm also leaning towards a cream and navy nautical style jumper.
