I want a cutting of Mo (that sounds wrong, you know what I mean).

I love that Monk sees TMT and asks about the cats

I just bought this lampshade to replace the most basic beige lampshade in the sitting room that our vendors inexplicably left when they took all their other light fittings :george:

From a local lighting place where it's in stock because it's Danish and importing anything from the EU at the moment is a complete nightmare. I had nice call with the owner where we shared tales of Brexit shipping woe

Thank you! I can't wait to get it up on the ceiling (I think I want to add a plaster ceiling rose first - just a simple one, I think that will make it perfect ). It will make such a difference.

I agree, it will mirror the shade. (Or the shade will mirror it)

That's lovely, emma. Do you have any recommendations for ceiling roses? I'm thinking about adding one to my lounge.

I've been peering in people's front rooms on my walks and they really do make a difference!

I'm looking at ordering from here: http://www.classiccornice.co.uk/ceiling-centres/ because they're local to me and I don't think I can fit it myself.

I think there's some kind of guide to help work out the size of rose for the room and the light fitting but I'm waiting for the shade to arrive so I can hold it in place to visualise it together before I order.

Yes I had a ceiling rose added and I seem to remember there was a recommended size, I now can’t remember the details but the one I’ve got looks fine IMO.

Wow that was unhelpful, sorry .

That’s beautiful.

The ceiling rose is this one, I chose it to be a similar style to the cornice and picture rails.

That's the sort of thing I'm looking for too. And, just to make it look like I have no original ideas of my own, where is your print from please, emma?! I had a holiday card that was really similar to that which I've framed and I'd like another one or two to go with it.
