The cucumbers look lovely. Home grown are so tasty. When I worked at the vets one of our clients used to bring his cucumber excess in to us.
We’ve got lots of dahlias out at the moment.

HOW ARE YOUR DAHLIAS OUT ALREADY. They look beautiful. I like the middle one especially. I'm planting some more of mine out in a mo, they're quite bushy now but nowhere near flowering. And my cucumbers are smaller than my little fingernail.

Not sure why ours are out and yours aren’t. I’m sure it won’t take long. The first time we grew cucumbers, they took forever to get going.

I love lupins. And dahlias. My dahlias are always well away from flowering! Good work, luna!
I am growing edible lupins this year, I've had lupini seeds from Italian delis and love them, so was excited to find some seeds for an edible version on Real Seeds.

What does a lupin taste like?

Kind of like a chickpea mixed with a edaname mixed with a broad bean. I think I have to soak them and do stuff to them before I can eat them, and it's only certain varieties that you can eat.

Ooh, that sounds very interesting. Please report back on them!
Yes, my dahlias are kind of where I'd expect them to be for early June (I lifted them and divided them so some of them are baby plants), yours are very impressive! And I kind of want my cucumbers to bide their time because they don't have a spot in the raised bed until the bloody garlic is harvested, and it's not ready yet (it's an early type and the packet claims it should be ready in May, it is very definitely not ready).
I did a lot of tidying yesterday and I'm much happier with how things look now. And I planted out some new things - dieramas (angel's fishing rods), a couple of types of scabious, some astrantia and some pelargoniums. I've just lifted my alliums in pots to dry out and store so will plant the now empty pots up with cosmos later today.
