My lamp has arrived! But I have to put the bastarding thing together. Didn't think about that :george:

I got this plain, porcelain serving bowl at the weekend as it was 20% off - after realising I have no actual serving dishes, just the stuff food is actually cooked in. So, this is a start.

We've just had a new light fitting installed in the hallway (there is a massive hole in the ceiling out of shot, but ignoring that) and a downstairs mirror that I really want to frame with fairy lights:

I like the sparkly mirror.

After looking for bedlinen for yonks I finally bought a duvet cover but the pillowcases are out of stock. Would it be okay with plain pillowcases or will it always make my teeth that they're not the right ones? :puzz: They may come back into stock, I'm waiting.

If I can get them I will, bit they're out of stock everywhere so it depends if they are restocked or not. I've got 3 months to return the duvet so I can wait a while longer :tumtetum:.

Ooooh! I'm about to sign up for sewing classes . The price is a bit prohibitive in that regard though but but but... So tempting.

Nice bedlinen Squizz. I think plain pillowcases would work fine, if you can't get the matching ones.

F'arty, where is your light fitting from? It's beautiful.

Has anyone seen nice grey and yellow bedlinen on their travels? Not flowery though *fussy*

I think plain would look nice too. I'd get two of the different colours from the duvet, maybe?

I haven't seen grey and yellow together but H&M has some lovely grey. A chambray one (that I got for G) and a linen one (I got for me). You could get pale yellow sheets/pillowcases?

If you haven't already, have a look on Shopstyle or whatever it's called now, their colour searches often seem to work well.

I think bright pillowcases to match the colours too. It's lovely.
