Unfortunately not. I like the idea of buying the fabric remnant. Thanks Tsu!

I've bought it. I've just ebayed some stuff so had paypal funds burning a hole. I've got some fabric and a sewing machine, all I need now are the lessons.

Just make sure you make them! Rather than leaving it in a bag for the next couple of years, which is what would happen here!

It's quite a lot of fabric too.

I think it'll be enough fabric for one large cushion cover, if I don't fuck it up.

Eta: or two if I do them plain on one side :puzz:.

I adore that mirror. And don't think it needs fairy lights. I am saying that through gritted teeth as I love fairy lights with all my dead soul, but it doesn't. IMHO blah blah.

Lights might detract from that mirror, it's stunning.

It's just straight lines, the hardest bit will be threading the machine :))

It's also that sort of thing that I need the lessons for. Its my mum's and is ancient and a good machine but very complicated. I remember being fascinated by changing the feet over.

I was quite good at sewing but it was 25 years ago.

It's like riding a bike, surely? :))

There might be an online instruction book that you can print out - my sister has my grandma's sewing machine, I think, and found a wealth of information on how to use it on the good old internet.

It probably has the original instructions, I haven't looked yet but that's a good idea anyway. I still want lessons though, I don't like self-learning.

Totes, lessons are the only way I can do it. Even with YouTube videos of monosyllables and images on how to crochet, I could only get it when an elderly woman sat next to me and showed me how.

You're all right, of course . I bought fairy lights at the weekend and it looks... Odd. Which just means I have fairy lights to string across somewhere else :perky:.
