Thanks anyway Five - I know I'm being very fussy, it drives Mr LFR to distraction, he'd just buy whichever was cheapest :shame:

How dare you Steve, I have a treadmill for that  Seriously though, I love rowing and when we go to the gym I was spending forty five minutes or so on the rower which didn't leave me very long to do other things so after a lot of deliberation we decided to buy one to use at home which means I can concentrate on the weights etc :)

I have bought a bin. I got it well cheap in a horrible outlet shop, it's got a pedal that actually works and a soft close lid. And it came with free bin bags!

My life .

A new bin makes such a difference!

Now, try not to covet my lifestyle when I tell you that I bought a smoke alarm.

That's a proper posh one, Ella. I've just bought a heat alarm and an optical one, and a fire blanket :))

At least it's an attractive smoke alarm.

I expect it to give off some sort of soothing, minimalist sound when there's a fire. Trickling streams or sea lapping on the shore.

Fire alarms are usually such ugly things. We have about 10 in this house, that I set them off every time I clean the oven (it's one of those self cleaning ones like I had at home which burns all the grease off and you just sweep it up afterwards) and the alarm is SO LOUD!

I bought this print, I need to buy a frame and get it on the wall before it goes in a stack with the rest of my unframed prints :ella:
