I'm so tired I want to get back to regular gardening, with less digging.

I cleared under the asparagus! It was full of buttercups, and I had to crawl in and not squash them I found some that had escaped, so have transplanted them in to fill the gaps. I cycled down and back, so am now near death I have to remember to save a bit of energy for the ride home.

My fitbit often thinks I'm doing sport while gardening. I want to work out what kind of sport

I used to see people gardening in DC in full Lululemon - we used to call it Extreme Gardening! It should be a sport

Same with MumBaa, she also imagines burying her enemies, so it's also good stress relief
I guess it's some kind of sport that involves walking, pulling, lifting and frequent squats.

Tadaaaa! That side of the allotment is DONE. I've put some weed suppressant down, so I don't have to continually weed it all.

I, on the other hand, just waft around the place with a g&t in hand examining what's popping up next It's a shame my nicest peonies are mid building site but I'll be able to enjoy them properly next year. And check it out, I have a black walnut tree! No idea if they'll be edible, but hey.

I'll be able to get back to wafting one day you've got a good selection on plants there!

It's all a bit random, one side of the garden is palm trees and seaside plants, on a shingled bed and the other is tightly packed English country garden I quite like the slightly schizophrenic nature of it though.

Hah! It does seem to be what a lot of people do.

I quite like a mishmash garden

I have two patches still to do big weeding, but I am stopping for now, and will strim those patches back. They're at the far back around the compost heap, and right at the front.

I'm going to make a wall out of the plastics and pallet to make more of a compost area.

Then the bits underneath the plastics and pallet will be a bed for poppies, foxgloves, aquilegia etc. Anything that will self seed and disguise the compost heap walls!

Mr 50/50 (as my mate named him) has completely blanked me since I started making progress. So I still don't know his name, and he doesn't return my chirpy waves

One of the beds is looking good. Beetroot, leeks, chard and cucumbers are well under way, with one established courgette plant. I’ve just added some some more courgette plants and some cucamelon that have been growing from seed in the shed.

A while back, Elvis planted a load of sunflower seeds in small pots and lined them up on the edge of a bed. We kept finding them on their side before realising they’re in the path of the shed door. Obviously a few took hold.

The nine butternut squash plants MumBaa gave me are not butternut squash plants. They're a jolly mix of strange hybrid courgettes/squashes. So that's fun.

I've paused on garden stuff and painted my shed the other sides will be blue, with a daisy in the back, and Bees on the other side
In other news, Mr 5050 half apologised and trundled over to me to say that he was shocked at my progress, and that he underestimated me. In yo face!
