That's a lovely house! It didn't need the ultra saturation filter or whatever seems to be going on. (Or the stuffed boar, or the little wooden man.)

:mog: Not so bad for ladies, but men using the loo might be a bit intimidated by him!

I have no idea why anyone would have that. I was going through all the houses where I grew up hoping for some treasure, everyone has pretty average/good taste so far.
I quite like it :mog:

That's hilarious. Though I have a ridiculous thing on my cistern, but I'd totally move it if someone was taking pictures to try and sell the place!! :mog:

This house looks like a 1980s public library

That said, it's cheap enough that I'd probably consider buying it. It looks so weird on the street with all the other normal houses - https://www.google.com/maps/@32.937148, ... 312!8i6656
Half-ten?! Half-ten?! I've never been up at half-ten! What happens?

Why is it so cheap? I know American houses usually are, but it seems unusually cheap (or does it?). Is it a bad area or something, because the pictures look fine.

That's so funny, the library in our town looks exactly like a bigger version of that.

For $160K, I'll take two!

I usually far prefer period houses but like smal am enamoured of all that space. And I don't think the outside is that bad either.

I like the library house, apart from the intensely American kitchen.

Yes, the library house has so much potential. I love the stone fireplace!

I was thinking of saying how 'american' the kitchen was but couldn't really explain what I meant by that. But it is.

It's been quite well photographed I think, and I bet IRL it's all office carpets and tatty paint, but otherwise I think it'd be great. I imagine those high ceilings would be a plus in Texas? And the work is (hopefully) just decorating. Ideally you'd change the kitchen & bathroom but still. I agree too, so cheap! Get it, Jet!

No, it's a fine area and good schools. It's that price because of the decor, but it's not on the bad side of cheap if that makes sense. As in I wouldnt worry.

That area has good schools and cheap houses as its another 20-30 mins out of the city. Our friends house (in the same area) was the same sq footage as that one but 4 bed and only a little more expensive. They had to do a lot of work on it, it was liveable in but was way dated.

Don't get me wrong, compared to Britain ALL houses are cheap here, but to get a 4 bed where we currently live (there aren't as many as the houses are older) you're talking $250k-$350k for something needing work. $450k+ for something that's been updated.
Half-ten?! Half-ten?! I've never been up at half-ten! What happens?
